One of the most impactful fragrances I’ve ever tried. At first, I thought I’d made a mistake: the initial burst of green, woody, and earthy notes felt unbalanced and a bit invasive. But within minutes, it settled into a perfect equilibrium, dominated by a spicy incense scent featuring sandalwood, nutmeg, and cardamom. In the dry down, it leaves a green, earthy patchouli blended with woody oud, that persistent spicy-incense tone, and a creamy, slightly sweet base of vanilla, tonka, sandalwood, and musk. That final touch balances everything perfectly. Excellent quality; I love it and it’s addictive. Performance is great: projects a lot at first (maybe too much), but then stays consistent without being annoying. Lasts all day. I don’t think young people or beginners will like it since it’s challenging, but those who know their way around niche perfumes will appreciate it because it’s anything but boring. It leans more masculine than feminine. Currently in my top tier. Hope this helps!
It’s the second in the Purely Orient collection, alongside Tonka, and for me, it’s the best of them all. A modern, very masculine, potent scent with a significant sillage; it’s addictive. It’s not that exaggerated patchouli found in Profumum Roma or Jovoys, where the note goes on forever. Here, it’s subtle and adorned with other high-quality woods.
Nas and Ajmal create something truly incredible. Amir 2 is a beast—an amazing oud.
Of everything I’ve heard about lately, this one surprised me the most. If you like patchouli, especially its herbal facet, you’ll love it. The note is in the heart, but it’s noticeable throughout the evolution alongside an oud that’s well-measured, noticeable but tailored to the Western palate. Masculine aroma with good projection and performance (it doesn’t fade to skin scent). It doesn’t ask for much and is sure to surpass many designer and niche scents. It’s one of those rare times you smell it and immediately want it in your collection. Perfect for moderate climates and semi-formal or formal occasions; it’s distinctive, as they say: ‘no one will smell like you.’ Works for day and night. Ajmal offers mid-range priced scents that rival expensive Western ones; try as many as you can access. Here, there are no watery, alcoholic, or flat aromas. Ajmal has become one of my favorite houses. Cheers!
Excellent Ajmal fragrance; I highlight its naturalness and performance. It starts dry, powdery, and herbal, smelling of dried herbs and an autumn breeze, with very soft animalic nuances. It takes you on a journey through the facets of patchouli: from the earthy and dry beginning, through a sweet middle phase with a slight camphoraceous hint, to the dry down which reveals a faint chocolate aroma, always maintaining that herbal character. Very well executed and one of my favorites from the Purely Orient line.
