  • Probably one of the best perfumes to come out of Chile. It’s a slightly dirty but totally wearable oud paired with a gourmand combo of cacao and sweet notes. The longevity is insane—I’m speaking from experience with the extract, haven’t tried the EDP yet. It’s a beautiful scent, perfect for anyone wanting to dip their toes into oud from a gourmand angle.

A gem of Chilean perfumery. I have the full EDP bottle and an extract decant; they perform equally, but the EDP projects more. This creation by Edgar Pastor for Pastor Prive is high-quality niche, highlighting the cacao and oud notes which, for me, dominate the entire fragrance. The price-to-quality ratio is excellent: it’s hard to find perfumes in this category for $60. Is it suitable for blind buys? If you only like light designer fragrances, test it first. But if you’re already exploring the niche world or more complex scents, it’s an excellent option.

Oh My Oudness is a delicious gourmand introduction to oud. The oud is noticeable but not animalic, dirty, or urinous—it’s Assam oud without the civet, cypriol, or castoreum exaggerations. It’s most prominent in the dry down but present from start to finish. The roasted cacao smells like bitter chocolate, and the vanilla is super creamy; imagine a vanilla mousse dusted with cacao. Add to that a dark, heavy, intense sensation, like a breath of hot, exotic air hitting hard from the base—it’s the warm coat that wraps around everything. I always bring a Chilean designer perfume on trips, and this one really stands out, especially at the recent Esxence event where I wore it for a few days. The performance is outstanding and noticeable; I’d say it’s one of the brand’s most potent. A masterpiece of Oud/Gourmand, 10/10 for me.

Oh My Oudness is the gateway to the world of oud, with a gourmand base so rich it feels edible. The oud is present but nothing animalic, dirty, or urinous; it’s Assam oud without the civet, cypriol, or castoreum additions that usually exaggerate it, and you notice it more in the dry down, though it lingers from start to finish. The roasted cacao smells like bitter chocolate and the vanilla is super creamy—picture a vanilla mousse with cacao dusted on top, but add that dark, heavy, intense sensation, like a breath of hot, exotic air where the oud accord hits hard from the base… it’s the warm coat that wraps around everything. I always bring a Chilean designer perfume on trips, and this one has really stood out, especially at the recent Esxence event where I wore it for several days. The performance is excellent and noticeable; I’d dare say it’s one of the brand’s most potent. A masterpiece of Oud/Gourmand, 10/10 for me.
