Descripción
Noir by Agua de Sevilla is a woody-spicy fragrance for men. Launched in 1998, this composition features an olfactory pyramid designed by an unspecified perfumer. The top notes unfold with bourbon geranium, lavender, blackcurrant, cinnamon, elemi, star anise, and nutmeg. The heart reveals laurel leaf, bourbon geranium, patchouli, cinnamon, black pepper, vanilla, and sandalwood, while the base settles with labdanum, allspice, patchouli, myrrh, amber, sandalwood, and vetiver.

I bought it in Toledo Spain. It’s a fresh and exquisite fragrance; too bad it’s not available in my country (Mexico). Highly recommended; the fragrances for women in this line are excellent too.

I went to Mercadona to buy my Don Algodón and stumbled upon Agua Sevilla Noir in a mysterious bottle. My only reference to the brand was the Orange Water which I couldn’t find. I cautiously tried the tester and the moment I smelled it I knew it was different. I approached the cashier a blonde with blue eyes and glasses holding the bottle. I asked about durability with a goofy smile. She looked me up and down and said I love it, but I don’t know how long it lasts because it just arrived yesterday. I’d be lying. I smelled my wrist: an extraordinary opening a fresh sack of spices lavender bitter fruit and flowers. A spring night walk down a tree-lined avenue. There was complexity feeling and beauty in a classic artisanal direction nothing modern (created in 1998). I thought Thank you for your honesty, as she rang me up. Gradually the perfume shifted to a floral soapy and spicy tone guarded by warm woods. The problem is it costs more than 20€ for 50ml making it the most expensive drugstore perfume in the supermarket. I thought of my Don Algodón 200ml for 13€ and pure bliss and those Saturday nights watching movies at home instead of following the dating spiral. ‘I’ll buy the Don Algodón anyway I decided, knowing I was going on the date with her because there s always time to stay home. The next day I applied it generously. The soapy and spicy tone lingers with more sandalwood patchouli and a resinous note. The projection is discreet and the longevity is about 5 or 6 hours getting closer to the skin. Agua Noir is a very good perfume that deserves its price. It feels natural elegant clean and seductive. It’s already a rarity in drugstores. Unfortunately I foresee a short life for these chains. It doesn’t imitate trends it’s not an eternal classic and its price doesn’t fit the retail model. But it’s a great experience for those who let themselves be carried away. Comparable to daydreaming about a date that probably won’t go well. One of those sparks life offers to feel and dream over seas of routine no matter what happens after.
Like a mix of Halston 1-12 with Youth Dew, but without the sweetness of the first or the cologne aftertaste of the second, turning them into a rough, sharp water with hints of dried rose. I think the laurel, which has an airy dust quality, helps this idea of ‘aromatic leather.’ It makes me think of a closed closet or bedroom, or a pantry with dried herbs—not rotten, but slightly dusty. Geranium and lavender are very perceptible; I’d rank them high along with hyssop and laurel. I catch the resins and cinnamon, but they feel like an oriental combo and don’t shine on their own. I don’t like it, but it’s worth noting for users born between 1988 and 1994. Sillage and longevity are moderate.
Like a mix of Halston 1-12 with Youth Dew but without the niceness of the first or the cola aftertaste of the second. It turns into a rough soapy accord with hints of dried rose. The laurel with its powdery edge helps create that idea of ‘aromatic leather’. It makes me think of a closed closet or bedroom or a pantry with dried goods—not rotten but dusty. The geranium and lavender are very perceptible along with the fennel and laurel. I catch the resins and cinnamon as an oriental combo without them shining alone. I don’t like it but it’s worth considering for users born between 1988 and 1994. Trail and longevity are moderate.
I could have been born in the 80s… I found it on a tester and dove right in. I’d never seen the bottle or used the fragrance before. It’s very similar to Cartier’s Santos but with Antaeus’s fennel and laurel. It could have been an affordable option to Santos back in the 80s. You can detect the fennel laurel geranium lavender and sandalwood. I like it but it’s one of those scents you can’t stop smelling and that create a bit of rejection. The trail is moderate and the longevity in my case is over 6 hours. I only recommend it to those who like 80s fragrances and enjoy them.
Excellent performance for the price; I’m surprised they sell it at Mercadona. At first it smells like Kouros then like Antaeus. Without the initial laurel blast it’s like a mix of the two but more herbal and sharp; the other two seem more polished and balsamic. It also has a soapy touch at the start.
Undoubtedly a masculine and complex fragrance. It’s not easy or accommodating, but that’s exactly the kind of scent for someone who isn’t ordinary, who is different, and knows it. It has an enigmatic point due to the complexity of its development; the opening is very pleasant with that spiced lavender topped with a floral touch, but it’s in the dry-down where its unique personality shines. It’s a spicy, individualistic fragrance in practice. It’s sensual for anyone experienced enough to see that the wearer is honest with themselves and comfortable in their skin. It doesn’t need appearances or a collection of compliments. It goes well with jeans and a shirt or something more formal, because the man remains himself. If there’s a ‘Sauvage’ among fragrances, this is it, in my personal opinion. Accessories like tattoos, powerful cars, branded sunglasses, or loud motorcycles aren’t necessary with Noir and its wearer. Longevity and projection are quite good. I recommend trying it more than once and in different seasons of life.

Are they not selling it anymore?
Today I wore it with Agua de Sevilla Noir; I think it smells different in my nose than in others’. It’s addictive though my coworkers don’t enjoy it as much. Since I’m looking for pleasure not compliments I don’t care. It’s herbal aromatic a bit rough and bitter packed with anise laurel lavender and spices. Performance and projection are acceptable. Smells like a dad’s perfume with an 80s vibe and an overwhelming list of notes. Excellent buy at 20-25€ for 125ml.
Today I wore Agua de Sevilla Noir; I feel this fragrance resonates differently in my olfactory system than it does for others. It’s captivating and addictive, though I admit it doesn’t spark the same passion in my friends who’ve tried it. Luckily, my perfume motivations are more hedonistic than narcissistic, so I don’t care much if others enjoy it. It’s very herbal and aromatic, a bit rough, bitter, and astringent—somewhat dark but not too much, with anise, laurel, lavender, and spices taking center stage. Performance and projection are more than acceptable. It’s a ‘dad’ fragrance with an 80s vibe, featuring an overwhelming list of notes and chords. For 20/25€ for 125ml, it’s an excellent buy.
The best budget alternative to Antaeus. 100% recommended.
A barber shop/vintage-style fragrance for mature men with a modern touch and a very affordable price.
Like a vintage men’s barber shop scent for mature guys but with a modern twist and a price that doesn’t hurt.
