Figs, from root to fruit, are my favorite fruit. There are few perfumes that stand out with this note (Goutal’s Ninfeo, Hermes’ Un Jardin en Méditerranée, or the cheapie Green Tea Fig by Arden lead the list; even the discontinued Good Life by Davidoff had a great fig leaf). Years ago, I discovered this gem from a Swiss brand known for pocket knives, knives, and watches with an outdoor vibe. Although I always dismissed their options out of fear of the unknown, I was wrong: Mystique Forest is an oasis in my claustrophobic city. It smells like a stream in a dark, fresh forest. It opens with a fig leaf (which lasts throughout the perfume), cardamom, and wild apple. The heart has carrot seeds, magnolia, and oak. It closes with vetiver and the great protagonist, moss: penetrating but soft wood, with dry grass and an irresistible sweet touch. If their tools are precise for the mountains, their perfumes are too. It’s not risky; it’s a 10 in performance: it projects for 8-10 hours and lasts up to 24. It’s an all-rounder ideal for intermediate days; its forest effect at home or the office is unbeatable. Guaranteed. The clear glass bottle with a wooden cap and base fits perfectly with its green moss essence: another 10.
Figs, from root to leaf, wood, and fruit, are my favorite fruit. There are few perfumes with standout fig notes (Goutal’s Ninfeo Mío, Hermes’ Un Jardin en Mediterranee, and the cheapie Green Tea Fig by Elizabeth Arden lead the list; even the discontinued Good Life by Davidoff had a great fig leaf note). Years ago, I discovered this beauty from a Swiss brand known only for pocket knives, knives, and watches inspired by outdoor life. I don’t do extreme sports and always dismissed their options out of fear of the unknown: ERROR. Mystique Forest, during these days of isolation, allows me to close my eyes and travel to the humidity of a stream in a dark, fresh forest. A true oasis in my claustrophobic urban ecosystem. It opens with fig leaves (which last until the end), cardamom, and crabapple tree. The heart features carrot seeds, magnolia, and oak. Finally, an exquisite vetiver and the great protagonist alongside the fig leaves: moss, a penetrating but not sharp smell of wood mixed with dry grass and an irresistible sweetness. If Swiss Army makes instruments for extreme experiences, their perfumes don’t lag behind. It’s not risky in quality, but in performance: it projects for 8 to 10 hours and lasts up to 24. It’s an all-rounder for all seasons but looks better in intermediate seasons and daytime. Its forest effect at home (or office) is almost the best thing that could happen. Guaranteed. The bottle matches the green moss juice: simple lines, clear glass, and a wooden cap. A 10 for me too.
The Victorinox website says: notes of fig leaves, cardamom, yellow lemon, crabapple leaves; heart of carrot seeds, magnolia, and oak; base of vetiver and moss. I’ve had it for months. The first impression was good and impactful, seeming to express a “mystical forest,” but over time it doesn’t seem so much anymore. Warm days have come; maybe winter favors it more. The opening is green and juicy, the best in my opinion (which is why people compare it to Jardin en Mediterranee, but it has little in common with that). What’s distinctive now is the fig leaf, a vivid note I enjoy in all perfumes that carry it (except in Gucci by Gucci Sport, which I find very bitter). As the alcohol dries, a powdery, green, slightly rough note appears at times, with a faint soapy foam tone. There’s also a subtle floral aspect, overshadowed by the powdery side. I think this powdery side motivates the similarities with Decadence, but Decadence is sweeter and warmer, while Victorinox is greener and wilder. Maybe it’s the interaction with my skin, which accentuates the soapy foam and mutes the sweet chords. My skin doesn’t always work well with moss, which becomes acidic and intense. I’m not sure if I’ll keep using it; I wish it were a bit sweeter on my skin. After four or five hours, the powdery aspect fades to give way to a rounded, resinous sweetness, still green but softer and warmer, returning to the vegetation of the opening. This base is very pleasant. The quality smells like very good value for the price; I got it for a third of what designer houses charge. Longevity and projection are good, though I test it on my arm and it tends to outlast softer perfumes. For me, totally unisex. It seems very well crafted, but I can’t find a reason to use it. I could wait for winter, but I think it will end up in an exchange because I choose others. PD: I agree with @hernie, her words describe this perfume well. The difference lies in the scent on the skin and the associated feeling.
The Victorinox website says: Main notes – Fig leaves, cardamom, yellow lemon, paradise crabapple leaves // Romantic notes – Carrot seeds, magnolia, oak // Base notes – Vetiver roots, moss. I’ve had it for several months. At first, the impression was good and impactful; I thought it really expressed the atmosphere of a “mystical forest.” But over time of using it, it doesn’t seem so much to me… Let me clarify that warm days have come to my region; maybe winter favors it more… The opening is green and juicy, in my opinion the best part of the perfume (I suppose that’s why people vote it similar to Jardin en Mediterranee, but the truth is it has little in common with that…). I estimate that what’s distinctive right now is the fig leaf, which is a vivid note I enjoy in all perfumes I know that carry it (except in Gucci by Gucci Sport, which I feel is very bitter). As the alcohol dries and the perfume settles on my skin, a very powdery, green, somewhat rough note begins to appear at times, with a slight soapy foam tone. I can also perceive a floral aspect, but quite subtle, or at least overshadowed by the powdery aspect… I’m sure this powdery side is what motivated the votes for similarity with Decadence because the effect is very similar, but Decadence is much sweeter and warmer, whereas Victorinox is greener, wilder, so to speak… It’s possible that this scent is the result of its interaction with my skin, which tends to accentuate soapy foam effects and never highlights sweet chords, rather mutes them a bit… My skin doesn’t always react well with moss, which becomes a bit acidic and too intense… I’m not sure if I’ll manage to use it; I wish it turned out a bit sweeter on my skin… After about four to five hours, the powdery aspect decreases considerably to give way to a rounded, resinous sweetness, still green but much softer and warmer, returning to vegetation like the opening. This base is very, very pleasant. Regarding the scent quality, it feels like very, very good quality for the price I paid! I got it for a third of what designer houses charge. Longevity is good and projection seems good too, although I never used it on my neck; I kept testing it on the inner arm or wrists and it tends to outlast softer perfumes, being noticeable from a certain distance on the arm… For me, totally unisex. I think it’s a very good perfume, very well crafted, but I can’t find a reason to use it… I could wait for winter to see if the weather makes a difference, but I think it will end up in an exchange because I end up choosing others to use… PD: I agree with @hernie’s review; I think her words describe this perfume well. The difference is in the resulting scent on the skin and the associated feeling…
Searching, I found this EDT… It was made for me by the notes and the price… I bought it blind, tried it, and it was pure love 😍. What a delicious thing: fresh, sweet but not overpowering, a beast in longevity with moderate projection and sillage, and the bottle is gorgeous… I already have 3 from this brand: For Her, Morning Dew, and this one… Of the three, this is the one that stole my heart 💖.

As Marie Jacqueline says, PURE LOVE, an absolute steal! I returned to Ciudad del Este in February 2025 to relive my 90s experience, though this time the city’s chaos threw me off. The only thing that saved the day was this gem. Among classic brands, budget options, and new Arab releases, the sales staff didn’t even look, so I grabbed some coffee, started testing, and nothing convinced me to pack it for my luggage. In a rush, I bought the CK Eternity (which I later learned needs the Eau de Parfum version), and with low hopes, I moved on to the budget section! I never would have dared to try something from a brand that smells like Old Spice! I tried one I didn’t like, and hidden away was this one. I thought “cute little bottle” and FINALLY! SPECTACULAR. At first, I thought it was unisex, but then it’s totally feminine, though the fruity notes could make it unisex. Since I sprayed it and left the store, ten people asked what it was, even the cashier behind the glass was surprised. I gave it to my mom, and she loved it instantly; she says it gets compliments wherever she goes. I don’t know any similar scents, never smelled anything like it. It has a quality reminiscent of the last great days of the 90s, pre-reformulations. Lasts 24 hours or more with huge sillage. To me, it’s a fruity aromatic with white flowers, ideal for spring, summer, and daytime, suitable for all ages. It’s a 10/10.
As Marie Jacqueline clearly states, PURE LOVE, an absolute steal!!! I went shopping in February 2025 in Ciudad del Este (paradise {???} tax-free or something, better not dig too deep, in Paraguay), I had done it in the early ’90s and returned then loaded with new perfumes ;-), some unfortunately already discontinued like Givenchy’s Insensé, thirty years later I tried to replicate the experience, unfortunately the city’s chaos overwhelmed me and I didn’t have a good time inside or outside the “shopping centers.” The ONLY good thing was this fragrance wonder. There are huge stores in that city dedicated only to perfumes, thirty years ago too, but they were more like a perfumery we can find in any city, now they are endless. Among classic brands, budget options, infinite “Arab” novelties, endless “flankers,” the TOTAL indifference of the sales staff (common in C.d.E.) too much; I grabbed a handful of moustaches and a glass with coffee beans and started testing on my own, nothing convinced me enough to add weight to the luggage (a too earthly constraint for air travel), in a rush I bought the CK Eternity, remembering it totally different (later, it was too late, I tried the Eau de Parfum and THAT is the one you have to buy) and with low hopes I moved on to the budget section, I NEVER would have thought in a common situation to try anything from a brand that seemed closer to Old Spice than serious perfumery. I tried one that didn’t convince me, I think it was Mountain Water for Her, and next to it, hidden away, was this one, “cute little bottle” I thought, FINALLY!!!! SPECTACULAR!!! At first, maybe due to enthusiasm, I even thought it was “unisex,” after a few minutes it’s totally feminine…or not…the fruity notes are predominant and from that side it could be unisex. Since I sprayed it until I left the store, at least ten people asked what it was, even the cashier behind glass with only a small opening to pass money underneath was surprised. I gave it to my mom and she loved it instantly and tells me that wherever she goes, her perfume gets compliments. I don’t know any of those declared as “similar,” but I also never smelled anything similar anywhere. It has a quality that reminds me of the last good days of ’90s perfumery, pre-reformulations and niches. Lasts 24 hours or more with huge sillage. To me, it’s more of a fruity aromatic/white flowers than a woody scent, for spring/summer/day, for a very wide age range. From any angle, it’s a 10/10.
