  It’s a spicy, slightly woody fragrance that only loses intensity over time. Notes of grapefruit, pepper, cedar, vetiver, and bergamot create a scent very similar to Terre d’Hermes, sharing six of its notes. Interestingly, despite sharing the orange note, I didn’t detect it at all in this version. Beyond that, it smells exactly like Terre d’Hermes, with the same earthy, mineral vibe. Sometimes we find perfumes that seem almost perfect and think they’re just missing or have one extra note; for those who know Terre d’Hermes but dislike its orange note, this is a great option, especially since it costs about a quarter of the price, making it even better. Although its launch date isn’t mentioned, it’s a reissue of the original from 1986. Who knows how similar it is to the original, but if they’re alike, I’d say Hermes’ version is 100% based on this. On my skin, it had a moderate trail for the first two hours, then slowly faded over the next four until it disappeared. Perfect for cool or cold weather, and like Terre d’Hermes, it works well for both casual and formal occasions.
