Too floral for my taste. Made and used in Cuba, where there’s an eternal summer, it becomes cloying.
It’s very special to me; it reminds me of my youth. It smells like fresh flowers so natural it’s like holding them in your hand. The scent stays stable, but when it mixes with the skin due to its musk, you feel its warmth and moisture thanks to the soft cedar note.
Very pretty, you can feel it, and it’s feminine. It’s long-lasting. I wish I had the absolute; I tried it and liked it even more.
It’s a hit in Cuba; young people and older ladies wear it. It’s very floral and people can’t get enough of it.
Here in Cuba it’s a total hit; everyone from kids to grandmas uses it. It’s pure floral and people go crazy for it.
It’s an easy-to-wear floral for hot days. It doesn’t fade; it stays strong even when the heat dilutes your thoughts. Good quality at a friendly price (I bought it at a fair in Mexico), with that Cuban seal. If you liked Alicia Alonso, this won’t disappoint you either. What a shame it’s only available in Cuba or at international fairs.
It’s a super fresh floral, perfect for hot days; it lasts several hours without fading, which is rare in that kind of weather. Top quality at a fair price (I got it at an expo in Mexico) with that classic Cuban house touch. If you liked Alicia Alonso, you’ll love this one too. The only downside is you can only find it in Cuba or at international expos.
Butterfly (1999) by Suchel Camacho is fresh and very floral, with lily of the valley, gardenias, and green notes, accented by blackcurrant fruits. It has great projection. Inspired by the Hedychium coronarium flower, it was created by Zunilda Martínez and Esther Morales. In my opinion, it has the DNA of Estee Lauder’s Pleasures, but with a fruitier blackcurrant accord and a transparent musky base that gives it great longevity. The early versions, made with natural floral alcoholate, were formidable.
I absolutely loved this beauty. It smells like a bomb of freshly rainwatered flowers. It’s ideal for after the beach and a stroll along the Malecón; it exudes energy and youth. There’s also ‘Alicia’, a bit more mature, made to commemorate Alicia Alonso. To me, it smells like ‘butterfly’, Cuba’s national flower (Hedychium coronarium). Glorious! What memorable perfumes! I don’t know what I’d give to get them here.
One of my favorite perfumes, just like my mom and my nephew. When I hug her, it smells like fresh flowers; it’s strong for the first two hours, then softens and lasts about 5 hours.
One of my mom’s favorites; my nephew and I love hugging her and smelling her. It’s fresh flowers: it’s strong for the first two hours, then softens and lasts about 5 hours.
