It’s a textbook classic. I love it, but beware: don’t buy it blindly. At first, the clove and jasmine hit hard and project a loud ‘here I am’ vibe, but then it settles down and each note gets its moment to shine. You’ll catch all of it in bursts. It’s a must-have for my collection.

  2. I bought it blindly chasing that ’90s touch that is pure gold. I was smitten with the notes and the creator, Sophia Grojsman, thinking I’d found a treasure. Spoiler: it wasn’t like that; it was a nightmare. Right out of the bottle, it smells like strong artificial flowers, almost like disinfectant, and I thought it would improve as it dried. Nope, it evolves horribly and becomes nauseating. Plus, it’s invasive and lethal. I had to take a shower with neutral soap to get it off. I gifted it the very next day. In the end, I realized Sophia’s hits like Paris or Tresor weren’t the ones I was looking for.

  3. BlauerSchmetterling

Advice: do not buy this blindly. I picked it up yesterday (100 ml) at a store without testers, trusting the reviews and the olfactory pyramid. The disappointment was total. It has nothing creamy or sweet about it. Right after spraying, it smells bad because it’s so strong. Over time, it stops being annoying, but I can’t find anything pleasant or worthy of the good reviews here. I agree with CarCar: do not buy it blindly.

Advice: don’t buy this eau de parfum blind. I got it yesterday (100 ml) at a store without testers, convinced it was the perfume I was looking for after reading reviews and notes. The disappointment was absolute. No creaminess or soft sweetness. When sprayed, it’s unpleasant because it’s too strong. Over time it becomes less so, but I don’t perceive anything pleasant and I don’t agree with the positive reviews. I agree with CarCar: you can’t buy this blind.

Incredible perfume, elegant and feminine, with that ’90s floral touch. A beautiful blend of white flowers, clean and vibrant. Ideal for spring, though it works all year round. I fell in love and grabbed it on Notino for 23 euros in November; now in December it’s 84. The price fluctuation is crazy. I’d re-buy it on sale because it lasts and has great sillage, but at the regular price it feels like a rip-off.

  6. Smells like angels: delicate, subtle, feminine, and romantic, yet with distinguished sensuality. It’s magical and delicious. I see it as a timeless floral oriental. I love the opening: sweet white flowers with a touch of clove that makes it unique, followed by fruits and a refined vanilla, finishing with a musky base and soft woods. It becomes mystical and ethereal. It suits me perfectly in any season, though I tested it in winter and I absolutely adore it. It’s for personal enjoyment, ideal for night; it relaxes me and makes me feel like a princess. Very intimate aroma. For me, it’s a 10/10. Don’t buy it blindly; it’s not for everyone.

Totally agree with Casablanca77. It’s a feminine, distinguished, and elegant fragrance, very much in the style of Guerlain’s Champs Elysees. Perfect as a ‘signature scent’ for someone who can wear it every day without getting tired of it.

  8. larilara

This perfume is interesting for several reasons: it starts with its gorgeous packaging, worthy of a fairy’s vanity, with that art deco design and the leaflets on the edge—it’s pure art. It smells different from the usual; to me, it has air of L’Air Du Temps, sharing six out of ten ingredients with Lalique. At the start, you briefly notice the rose and jasmine, then comes the iris and clove that last an hour, followed by the dry down where sandalwood dominates. It has soft sillage and I’ve loved it. Ideal for summer, paired with something feminine.

This perfume is interesting for several reasons. To start with, its beautiful packaging, worthy of a fairy or elf’s vanity; the Art Deco design with its leaves on the edge is a work of art. It steps out of the ordinary; to me, it has an air of L’Air Du Temps; they share six out of ten ingredients. At first, the rose and jasmine are perceived very briefly, then the iris and clove come out, lasting an hour, and then the dry-down where sandalwood predominates. Soft trail; I’ve loved it. For summer due to its soft trail, dressed with something feminine.

I had a miniature a long time ago. I dosed every drop with delight. I never saw anything from Lalique in commercial size. How would I describe it? Glorious, yes, glorious is the word. An art deco rarity like its bottle, a piece of modern art. And with art, you need to know how to appreciate it. Did I read somewhere that someone left it because it wasn’t for young people? I think even at twenty, I wouldn’t have been tempted to try it, but it was when it came into my hands. What an experience! Its aristocratic elegance imposes a certain distance, but feeling it and adoring it forever was worth it. It’s one of those perfumes you don’t get tired of feeling on your skin, on your clothes, in the air. It’s beautiful always, seeming never to break down into disappointing or weary afternotes like with most. It’s much more than a chic caramel. Its sweet and divine refinement, celestial one might say, its overwhelming distinction, has no age. I long to find it again.

  11. I bought this perfume because I had a miniature from years ago from the famous collection, which I later bound into five beautiful volumes. This summer I bought the big bottle… but nothing like the scent of the miniature. The old version had a lovely sweet touch. I’m not good at describing scents, but it was an elegant sweetness and not cloying at all. The current version has lost that sweet touch; it smells good, yes, but now it just smells like jasmine with a fruity hint. I’d even say it’s very much in the style of Burberry London, which I also like but understand isn’t the greatest thing. Wonder 34, if you buy it, keep in mind it’s not what it was for me; they took away the best part.

I tried the miniature yesterday and, despite my cold making it hard to tell if it smells like ‘clean nose’ to me, it absolutely blew my mind. Thirty minutes after applying it to the back of my hand, it smells metallic and with harsh green notes, powdery florals, and greens in the base. At first, I thought I smelled violet and iris, nothing like what the reviews promised: no sandalwood or sweet vanilla. It took a sour turn on my skin. We’ll see how it evolves once I try it without a cold. *It’s an EDT miniature. A year later, 7/7/20, I tried it again. Unfortunately, I have to say I just don’t like how it sits on my skin… I’m sure it’s a matter of body chemistry, like what happened to me with other ’80s fragrances… Let’s agree that even though it’s from 1992, this Lalique carries the compositional spirit of earlier years… My skin makes it very sharp, like overripe fruit that got too sweet and started fermenting, releasing a scent that’s no longer sweet or appetizing but also not exactly ugly… I wish I could smell it on another skin to understand what glories it unleashes… I would definitely not recommend buying it blind – unless, like in my case, it’s a miniature…

I’m testing a miniature I received yesterday. I’m a bit congested, just to clarify, so I’m not sure if I can smell it with a ‘clean nose’. It’s leaving me totally surprised! I put it on the back of my hand half an hour ago. I’m getting an aroma of metallic and rough green nuances, and behind those notes, some powdery florals and also a bit green. At first, I thought I detected a touch of violet, and certainly some iris. It’s nothing like what I expected from reading reviews… Nothing of sweet sandalwood or vanilla for now… It’s taken on some acidity on my skin. We’ll see how it goes and I’ll add more when I test it without a cold. *it’s an EDT miniature A year later, 7/7/20, I’m trying it again. 15. I’ve worn it for two days and I’m already sad to finish the last drop. On my skin, it’s a bright bouquet of white flowers: a sweet jasmine with a spicy clove touch that turns into a creamy gardenia. The iris adds depth and a shy vintage rose emerges. I don’t detect fruit, though it would show in a blind test. The base is an intoxicating vanilla with musky sandalwood, a dense, luxurious cream that blends without being overpowering. It’s sensual, feminine, and elegant—a classic for autumn and winter. Lasts over 6 hours, though it fades to skin scent halfway through, which I love for its intimacy. A bright version of Amarige and Samsara with a comforting cream. The bottle is gorgeous, though I only tested the sample. Thanks to Rebecavpf. Now three out of three on my wishlist. A disaster, scared to try more Lalique…

Lalique is a fruity perfume, extremely elegant and feminine; it’s the only one where I enjoy the pear note; in others, I either tolerate it or can’t stand it at all. Lalique opens powerfully; you intensely feel the clove, it tickles the nose a bit, but immediately the iris, jasmine, and rose tame it, making it warm. After a couple of minutes, cassia and pear appear; I couldn’t detect the blackberry, and it’s at that moment when the perfume becomes sweet, but its sweetness is very natural, nothing like candies. After 10 minutes, a delightful vanilla, a very pronounced sandalwood, and the musk enter. After 30 minutes, already blended into my skin, it becomes a bit powdery, sweet, very woody, with jasmine reigning. I consider Lalique a very special perfume, very risky for its time; of course, it’s oriental, it has that magical and seductive touch. I like it a lot; it’s not mass-produced, which is a plus. Its trail and longevity are moderate; I think it’s enjoyed more on cold days and at night.

Lalique is fruity, elegant, and feminine; it’s the only one where I enjoy the pear. Opens powerfully with a slightly spicy clove, but the iris, jasmine, and rose tame it, making it warm. After two minutes, cassia and pear turn it sweet and natural, without any candy notes. At 10 minutes, enchanting vanilla, marked sandalwood, and musk emerge. By 30 minutes, blended into the skin, it becomes powdery, sweet, and very woody with jasmine reigning. It’s a special perfume, bold, oriental with a magical and seductive touch. Not mass-produced, which is a plus. Moderate sillage and longevity, ideal for cold days and evenings.

Lalique Lalique is elegant and restrained, setting the wearer apart. It features the most refined pear combination I’ve ever captured, paired with blackberry, vanilla, and rose—a unique and unprecedented blend. It’s exquisite, exclusive, and people recognize you quickly. Along with Champs-Élysées and Tendre Kiss, it’s feminine without being voluptuous. My sister bought it in opaque glass over 20 years ago; ethereal yet grounded. Today, reformulated, it still retains its genuine distinction. I recommend it for women who want to be delicate, distinguished, and elegant. Moderate sillage and skin-deep longevity.

  24. If you like smelling like an old lady who stinks up the whole block, this is your choice. A friend taught me that you should only smell good enough for those who get close to you, not fill a room or restaurant with scent; that’s unpleasant and can cause headaches. It’s a basic principle many forget. Well, they probably live in a shack where they’ll only bother the pigs, so I don’t see the issue there.

I always thought this perfume was fruity-floral, because on my skin the blackberries, pears, roses, and vanilla stand out. It’s extremely sweet and vanilla-forward, with heavy sillage and very feminine. I find it romantic and wintery. It reminds me a bit of Molinard De Molinard.

I totally agree with whoever said it’s a masterpiece; it has me head over heels, and I can’t find another that makes me feel the same. It’s a gem. The first time I smelled it was at a girl who walked into the bar where I was; just as she passed, a gust of wind hit me, and I was greeted by the scent. I asked her name, and she said it was strange because she’d worn it since the morning and thought it had already faded. Since then, it’s my favorite perfume.

Black raspberry and blackberry, with very special flowers in an oriental key, enriched by sandalwood and vanilla… An exquisite base, like a ‘mystic incense,’ a feminine cedar… I’m so happy to have it in my collection and want to keep it forever. My sister, who gifted it to me, told me it’s the fragrance of a queen; I completely agree. It’s beautiful, feminine, and elegant; it makes me feel very comfortable and confident. It’s a timeless classic, one of Sophia Grojsman’s masterpieces. I can’t find any resemblance to anything else (even though it shares ingredients), and on my skin it’s not so sweet either; it fits me perfectly.
