It reminds me of those body mists with glitter and ultra-synthetic scents I used as a kid—I’d just tolerate the smell to get covered in glitter, but this is the same thing in a fancier bottle, without the glitter and 50 times more expensive. I don’t get why it’s called Mango Skin when the mango scent is barely noticeable right out of the bottle and disappears completely once it dries; there’s no mango at all. It could be a bad flanker of La Vie Est Belle. Overall, it’s synthetic, loud, and cloying—it gives me headaches. The longevity is poor too; after 4-5 hours, the scent was almost imperceptible. I don’t understand the hype; it’s not innovative or distinct enough to stand out, let alone be a best-seller. Total disappointment.
I tried it on a decant and it saved me from spending too much. It smells great at first, like juicy tropical mango, but it doesn’t evolve much and lasts very little on my skin (I can’t smell it after 4 hours). For the price, I expected better longevity and a more defined dry-down, so I don’t think I’ll buy the bottle.

The ylang-ylang stands out above all, bringing that rich, clean tone—not a shower-clean smell, but freshly laundered, perfumed laundry ready to be worn. The dry-down is somewhat sugary and vanilla-like, musky, and a bit animalic due to the civet. Suitable for year-round use, though its strength should be in warmer seasons. EDIT: 14/05/25 I didn’t note this before, but on my skin, it doesn’t stand out in the heat at all. However, now that the heat has dissipated, everything feels fresh and slightly breezy; it shines spectacularly 🌟🌟🌟

It’s totally evening wear, ideal for informal and festive settings. I see it mostly for young people. Slightly feminine, though it doesn’t look bad on a man either.

I know this is one of this house’s best-sellers; I was about to buy it four years ago, but they gave me a decant with my Room Service, so I could test it on skin before buying Mango Skin. It literally smells like delicious mango juice, but the patchouli ruins everything. If you like patchouli, it’s for you; if not, forget it. After all, I recommend trying it first—it’s not a perfume to buy blind because the opening is delicious, but if your skin doesn’t tolerate patchouli like mine, I don’t recommend it, because the dry-down is very earthy and that’s what you’ll smell all day. Scent 6/10, projection 7/10, longevity 7/10.
