It transports me back to when I was 14 or 15… with that vanilla scent I love, something I haven’t found in any other perfume since. Along with Anais Anais, it’s far and away my favorite perfume, what a shame it’s discontinued.

  • I hate this perfume, it smells like grandma. If someone gave it to me, I wouldn’t accept it.

  • Enough with saying perfumes smell like ‘grandma’! It’s not just disrespectful to our elders, but it shows absolute ignorance of the world of scents. Fragrances have no age. You do need a certain personality to wear some. Immature people or those lacking personality just don’t pull off aromas meant for mature individuals. That’s all.

  • I’m 24 years old and this perfume impressed me so much <3 I thought it was for older ladies and never tried it until now. And I must say, it smells great, a classic, warm, and feminine. It lasts a long time, definitely a work of art.

  • As a child, I loved this perfume. I remember it was very vanilla-scented and seemed like the ultimate elegance for a girl. My mother never bought it for me because she thought it was too strong for my age. I’m sure she was right. Over the years, I managed to get the original EDP. My aunt didn’t use it and gave it to me. The worst part is that I don’t use it either. I never find an occasion. It always seems too much. And every time I throw it away, I think of LouLou Blue and wonder if I had this version, I would have finished it years ago. Come on, Cacharel! Givenchy, Estee Lauder, YSL… have relaunched their big hits. When will you?

I bought it by mistake thinking it was the classic, and it became the perfume of my life. I probably wore it from 16 until 27-28. I didn’t use anything else; it was my essence. I stopped using it when I couldn’t find it anymore. I simply love it. It has a vanilla scent, sweet but subtle, with a mysterious oriental touch (like the classic but more subtle). What I loved was that it smelled different, and I keep searching for something similar without success. I still have a little bit left, and when I smell it, I’m back to my youth. It’s a pity it’s no longer available (or at absurd prices). If anyone else likes it and knows of a similar scent, let me know; I’d really appreciate knowing there’s someone else in this world who loved this retro oriental vanilla.

I bought it by mistake, thinking it was the classic Loulou, and it became the perfume of my life. I used it from age 16 until 27; I didn’t have anything else. I stopped using it when it became unavailable. It’s sweet, subtle, and has that mysterious, enveloping oriental touch. I loved that it was different, and I’m still searching for something similar without success. I still have a little bit left, and when I smell it, I’m transported back to my youth. It’s a shame it’s no longer available or is ridiculously expensive. If anyone else liked it or knows of a similar scent, please let me know; I’d value knowing I’m not the only one.

The reason I’ve been collecting perfumes for years was the enchantment this fragrance gave me… I still remember the joy of unwrapping the cellophane and popping off the plastic cap of that delight… diametrically opposite to the original, which was heavy and annoying. This was an extremely feminine, warm, and youthful scent without being cliché. Totally far from red fruits or bubblegum. It was a scent that wrapped you in innocence and delicacy… pure and beautiful woman. My collection is full of attempts to recreate this fragrance. Its pyramid is similar to some current ones, and I swear Lolita Lempicka comes close in the base. It’s a shame Cacharel ruined this gem. Whoever remembers it with the love I venerate it… wait for them to have mercy and bring it back.

I spent years collecting perfumes because of the spell this fragrance cast on me. I still remember the excitement of unwrapping the cellophane from the box and popping the cap… it was diametrically opposed to the original Loulou, which was heavy and annoying. This one was extremely feminine, warm, and youthful without being obvious, far from innocent strawberries or flowers. It wrapped around me with sincerity and delicacy, like a pure and beautiful woman. I’ve spent years trying to recreate that essence; Lolita Lempicka comes close in the base with that familiar vanilla. It’s a shame Cacharel threw away this gem. If anyone remembers it with the affection I do, please wait for them to bring it back. Cheers.

  • You couldn’t have described it better, @AnaMarcelaAmaLosPerfumes… I really struggle to understand those 37 similarity votes with the classic, honestly… I’m confused. This Loulou Blue is the most delicate vanilla I’ve ever tried (and I’m not a gourmand or ‘vanilla’ person at all). I have a 15ml bottle sitting next to my deodorant, treating it like ‘gold in a cloth’. Bravo @gmoranch!!!! Stop using the term ‘smell like an old lady’.

Loulou Blue is the most delicate vanilla I’ve ever tried (and I’m not a gourmand or ‘vanilla’ person at all). I have a 15ml bottle alongside a deodorant and keep it like ‘gold in a pouch.’ Bravo @gmoranch! Enough with the ‘you smell old’ label.

  • I rarely write reviews, but all the good things said about this perfume are an understatement. I’ve written to Cacharel several times asking for a re-release, with no response. I see I’m not the only one longing for it. If there is a long-lasting, perfect perfume for almost any occasion, it’s this one. Anyone else join me in demanding they bring back Loulou Blue?

  • I don’t feel like writing, but everything good people say about this perfume is an understatement. I’ve emailed Cacharel several times without a reply asking for it back. I see I’m not the only one missing it. If there’s a long-lasting, perfect scent for almost any day, it’s this one. Anyone else join me in calling for Lou Lou Blue to be relaunched?
