Madrona Madness is a lovely, simple, and unpretentious fragrance that delivers exactly through its simplicity. When applied directly to the neck, it warms up a bit, so I prefer using it as a body mist on my skin, hair, and clothes to create a cloud. The opening is noticeable but not overpowering; it’s a neroli that some might find synthetic, but it smells beautiful to me. Compared to fragrances costing ten times as much, this one wins. It wins on my nose and on my skin because its performance is nearly on par with established luxury perfumes. In the heart, I think the neroli adds a soapy-creamy touch that I adore—that clean, freshly washed scent. It finishes with a slightly woody tone, but the best part is the blend of neroli with that soapy neroli, a simple yet effective concept. It’s a perfume for smelling great without the fuss, with a dynamic character and nothing cloying, lasting just as long as others at 100 euros. It’s for anyone who tries it and likes it. It doesn’t smell old to me; if it smells soapy, welcome to it—that’s a clean, fresh scent, especially welcome in these hot days. With this perfume, I feel relieved compared to heavy oriental scents, and it’s also kind to my wallet: 5 euros for 50 ml, and honestly, I can’t find much competition.
This perfume, along with its two other siblings, has a great sillage, but once it dries down, it smells old.
