This doesn’t have a single drop of fougère; it’s a pure chypre.

  2. César24

A fragrance for the elegant man, the one who knows what he wants and how to dress to command respect. A fantastic fougère.

Estée Lauder for Men, what a beautiful fragrance. I’m glad to see it’s still in production in 2024. I bought it a few days ago at Dillard’s in Brownsville, Texas, for $88 and they gave me a makeup bag as a gift. The batch code is from March 2024. It’s perfect for the classic, formal gentleman, the well-mannered type that’s becoming rare but still exists. It works great all year round, for work, formal events, casual wear, or even going out if that’s your style—why use something modern? Thank you, Estée Lauder, for continuing to make this classic masculine masterpiece; while people today seek exaggerated and informal fashion, there are still refined men who appreciate something sober and timeless.

Clean, refined, classy, mature, and very masculine… it’s a cologne that exudes power and elegance.

I tried it again and confirmed it’s my favorite. I love all its phases: it starts strong and powerful, then softens into a masculine, elegant floral, finishing very woody with patchouli, cedar, and a hint of anise. Totally recommended if you like old school; I consider it a masterpiece and the best from the house. It has good longevity and sillage, it’s timeless, and perfect for the office, though it calls for a dress shirt due to the elegance it conveys.

At first, I noticed soft citrus, herbs, and especially anise, which reminded me a lot of Azzaro Pour Homme. After six hours, powdery florals emerged, followed by a long trail of patchouli, cedar, oakmoss, and vanilla. By twelve hours, I could already detect the amber. It’s no surprise it reminds me of Azzaro; they’re only seven years apart and share twelve notes. The anise touch is very Azzaro, but with different florals instead of lavender and a drier finish thanks to the cedar and vetiver, making it less sweet than Aph because the amber comes out at the end and there’s no tonka vanilla. My bottle is vintage and comes ‘splash’ without a spray nozzle. It faithfully captures the eighties style with that inspiration from a seventies classic, equally suitable and elegant. It’s formal, for mature tastes, with moderate sillage (it weighs down if you overapply) and lasted more than twelve hours on my skin. I think it works for day and night, in moderate or cold seasons, avoiding hot summers.

Hooked on this fragrance: floral, woody, green, anise, and super fresh. It looks very distinguished, perfect for the office because it’s not overpowering but still elegant. Smells clean and has a classic style without feeling old. Maybe it’s more suited for people over 35.

I love it; it’s floral, woody, green, with a touch of anise that makes it super fresh. It looks very distinguished, perfect for the office because it’s not overpowering but still elegant, smells clean and rich. It has a classic style without looking old, although it might suit people over 35 better.

  12. Wow, this perfume denotes class and distinction… that’s my take. Looking for something special, I stumbled upon this masterpiece; I didn’t know it was a classic, made-to-measure, and I didn’t hesitate to buy it. I consider it a green fougère, the perfect combination of its notes hitting the exact spot to trigger a very pleasant scent explosion. With this, you won’t go unnoticed, believe me, you smell clean, impeccable, and elegant. Longevity is about six hours, then a couple more at the skin but consistent. Women love it, I checked. If you have the chance, do it, you won’t regret it. The person who sold it to me told me it’s hard to find. If you’re into classics, old school, and are a fan of Carolina Herrera for Men, you’ll love this perfume. P.S. it’s not that it resembles Carolina Herrera, but for me, it goes hand in hand or is in the same line.

  13. Wow, this perfume denotes class and distinction… that’s my opinion. Looking for something special, I stumbled upon this gem and didn’t realize it was a custom-made classic, so I bought it without hesitation. I consider it a green fougère; the perfect combination of its notes triggered a very pleasant scent explosion. With this, you won’t go unnoticed; you smell clean, impeccable, and elegant. Lasts about six hours, then a couple more hours close to the skin but consistent. Women love it, I’ve proven it. If you get the chance, buy it; you won’t regret it. The person who sold it to me said it’s hard to find. If you like the classics, old school, and are a fan of Carolina Herrera for Men, this perfume will be your thing. P.S.: It’s not that it’s similar to Carolina Herrera, but for me, they go hand in hand or are on the same line.
