  Something weird happened with this perfume. I was about to try an Arabic scent I had rejected, but the salesperson showed me a ‘GG Blush dupe’ (her words). Smelling it on the tester cap, I noticed the similarity and liked it. I already own the original, which is one of my favorites, but since it’s expensive here, I wanted an option to wear more freely. At home, after spraying it, I didn’t smell any GG Blush notes, just a very familiar scent. I thought about it all afternoon until it clicked: it’s Lancôme Idole! I don’t get why I sensed GG Blush vibes in the store, maybe the bergamot. If you’re looking for a dupe for classic Idole, this is it. Moderate projection, lasts about 4 hours, but I reapply without guilt given the accessible price (around $18 in Chile). I liked it and would use it again. Although the bergamot and pear notes suggest summer, I find it more intense, so I’d wear it in fall, maybe spring, and for evening.
