About Kosten
Kosten De La Patagonia for Men: A Woody Fragrance with an Aromatic Edge
De La Patagonia introduced Kosten in 2024, a masculine fragrance that belongs to the woody olfactory family.
The scent opens with lavender, neroli, and citron, develops through a heart of cedar and oud wood, and rests on a base of sandalwood, patchouli, and labdanum.
Kosten is built around woody accords, with supporting notes of patchouli, oud, and lavender. Amber, warm spice, aromatic touches, powder, fresh spice, and balsamic nuances add complexity, creating a contrast between freshness and warmth.
The opening is clean and aromatic: lavender and neroli lead the way, while citron gives a bright citrus lift. The heart then moves into deeper territory, with cedar and oud wood providing structure and a decidedly masculine core.
The base combines sandalwood, patchouli, and labdanum. This final layer brings a creamy, earthy, and balsamic finish, rounding out the composition and giving it more presence.
Kosten has earned an average rating of 4.5 out of 5 based on ten ratings, with four written reviews so far. For fans of woody scents, it offers a coherent and well-balanced profile that stays true to its category.
Men who enjoy woody fragrances, especially those centered on oud and patchouli, will likely appreciate Kosten. It’s also a good fit for anyone looking for a warm, aromatic scent for evening wear or colder months.
Kosten De La Patagonia for Men is a well-crafted woody fragrance that balances an aromatic opener with a warm, balsamic base. It’s a solid option for those seeking a masculine scent with character and depth.

Beautiful fragrance, the best of the three, leaves a trail and lasted 6 to 8 hours on me, worth recommending, and at an affordable price. The only bad thing is the box: it opens from the bottom and is made of soft cardboard; the bottle didn’t break on the floor when I opened it, by a miracle. Good cap, nice bottle, excellent fragrance, and the cardboard is a disaster, one of the worst I’ve seen.
An original, clean, evocative fragrance, with challenging Neroli that requires matching noses who like it; otherwise, it can be a somewhat disruptive experience. The first sensation is indeed what it tries to convey from its name: an ozonic feeling, of gentle winds among the leaves of trees from Patagonian woods, and a morning, rugged atmosphere. It’s the best part of the perfume. On the drydown, it is linear and doesn’t evolve beyond the opening. However, it is bearable, and if what you’re looking for is to smell different, this is an excellent option. Challenging but kind. Somewhat wild, but in a harmonious way. Good author’s work and a definitely interesting quest. We’ll keep testing its maceration and evolution. 8/10
Unique; I’ve never smelled the aroma of this perfume before. The advertising points to being in a Patagonian forest, and it is exactly that. It has a moderate but noticeable sillage because it’s so particular; it draws compliments, lasts strongly for 2 hours, and by 4 hours it lingers, but I can smell it on skin or clothes even after 10 hours. It comes in 50ml bottles and has a unique design. In a world where everyone smells like Arabian perfume, having this one or the Ko makes a difference.
Simply surprising; it’s something I had never smelled in any perfume. It really smells like kosten (which means strong wind) in a Patagonian forest; the lenga note is missing here, a type of wood native to Patagonia that gives it a very different touch from any woody scent on the market. Lavender is very present at the start of the fragrance, with a mid-base similar to incense, typical of patchouli. A totally recommended olfactory experience.
