  • It’s not a bad perfume, it has something tropical, not a fruity mess, but I can’t imagine Xenia Onatop, Tanya Roberts, Halle Berry, or Cary Lowell smelling like this. The femme fatale stereotype from those movies is so standardized that you expect a perfume to be femininity bottled up, and this tries to be sexy but falls half a step short.

  • It’s not bad, it has a weird tropical touch I can’t quite identify, but at least it doesn’t smell like a fruity mess. Honestly, I can’t picture Xenia Onatop from Goldie or any Bond girl like Tanya Roberts or Halle Berry smelling like this. The femme fatale trope from those films is so clichéd that you expect a perfume to be femininity in a bottle, and this tries to be sexy but ends up falling short.

  • Why do I keep buying blindly!? I want to blame it on not treating myself for a while. I was looking for an affordable EDT with red fruits for autumn since I was running low on others. I saw this for 16 euros with red fruits and pink pepper—a note I love—and the comparisons to Hot Couture and Midnight Rose sealed the deal. Ugh! I’ll admit I’d never heard of Hot Couture, but if this is what it’s like, what a rip-off! It’s terribly synthetic, smells like bare skin from the start. The red fruits and champagne are barely noticeable at first and vanish in a flash; the only thing I felt was leather, which I’ve added to my blacklist because it triggers the same rejection as Lacoste Femme. The rest of the notes are just decoration. I didn’t even keep it for an hour and gave it to a teenage neighbor who liked it. What did I expect for 16 euros? I don’t know! I just don’t learn, clearly not very smart!
