For me, it’s one of the best from Jafra, on par with any designer brand. I own 40 perfumes (Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, Carolina Herrera, Gucci, etc.), and this one got me more compliments. I’d keep using it, although here in Mexico it became so popular that I ended up smelling it on four people at the same event. Honestly, this fragrance captivated me with its unforgettable lavender scent.
It’s a pleasant fragrance that does its job: good trail and longevity. The citrus and herbal notes stand out with a subtle sweetness (maybe bergamot). After three hours, it becomes more reserved but remains persistent, taking a turn toward something generic. If you want to smell good, it delivers; but if you want to stand out, you’d better look elsewhere.
At first, it smells of mandarin, then spices up with nutmeg and finishes a bit woody, probably due to the sandalwood. I used it in the early 2000s, and that’s when I started getting interested in ingredients, because I recognized the nutmeg in another fragrance from the brand that I thought was the best: Hamilton, a splash of pink pepper and nutmeg that I still long for today.
This was one of the ones I used most in the second half of the 2000s (the card says 2011, but I was gifted one in 2008). It’s quite citrusy and musky with a sweet undertone that isn’t cloying. It’s versatile, though I prefer not to wear it when it’s raining because it smells strong and can make the wearer dizzy. Also, it has an opening almost identical to Coach for Men, which is much more expensive and projects less on my skin than J-Sport.
I love it, perfect for this weird, hot autumn. It starts with sweet, juicy mandarin that makes it cheerful; then comes the pepper with its spark and nutmeg giving that greasy, dirty scent that I absolutely adore. At the end, I notice amber, though I’m not sure if it’s the mandarin lingering or if I’m confusing the musk’s dirtiness with the nutmeg. It lasts about 5 hours. With this, I started distinguishing notes, especially nutmeg, which is my favorite. All of this was back around 2000.
It’s a lifesaver for hot weather: smells great, it’s cheap, doesn’t bother anyone, and lasts well.
