  1. I found it at a great price and decided to give it a shot. The opening and the first 40-50 minutes are delicious: top-quality spices, pepper, cardamom, and excellent ginger. As it dries down, it becomes woody, what I believe is Atlas cedar. Of all cedars, this is the one I like the least; it smells like pencil shavings and has a milky touch, like very soft blue cheese. It lasts about 6 hours with contained projection. It doesn’t smell the same, but conceptually it’s similar to Zara Black Pepper & Cedarwood. It’s a typical discontinued item found on sale for €10, though even the Zara version lasts longer and projects better. If I’d bought it at the normal price, I would have been crushed.

  2. It was a steal at the price, so I took the plunge. The first 40-50 minutes are delightful: top-tier spices, pepper, cardamom, and exquisite ginger. As it dries down, it turns woody, revealing Atlas cedar. Of all cedars, this is the one I dislike most; besides the pencil shavings scent, it has a milky note, like very soft blue cheese. Lasts a scant 6 hours with contained projection. It doesn’t smell the same, but conceptually it’s similar to Zara Black Pepper & Cedarwood. It’s just another discontinued Zara find, usually on sale for €10. Even the Zara version lasts and projects better. If I’d bought it at the regular price, I would have been devastated.

  3. It starts with fresh ginger and one of the finest peppers I’ve tried. Pepper takes the lead, with touches of cardamom and nutmeg that come and go. It’s elegant, perfect for the office or fine dining, but not for parties. Longevity is medium, around 8 hours, with moderate sillage and projection; if you wear it, it’s noticeable for about 4 hours before fading.

  4. It opens with fresh ginger mixed with one of the best peppers I’ve ever smelled. Pepper is the star, with hints of cardamom or nutmeg appearing and disappearing. It feels elegant, ideal for the office or a fancy restaurant, not for parties or drinks. Medium longevity, about 8 hours. Sillage and projection are moderate; if you wear it, people notice it well for 4 hours before it fades.
