  As soon as I heard something new was coming, I grabbed a sample because it’s my house favorite. It’s hard to explain; more than a scent, it’s a feeling: standing in a forest with freshly cut logs and cold air. Very masculine, dry, and woody. Fresh, but in a balsamic, crisp way—like the signature scent of a 40-50 year old man. It’s not for showing off or dominating a party, but it’s one of those aromas that gets etched into the memory of someone you’re interested in. Reminds me a bit of Méchant Loup and Fou d’Absinthe. These are first impressions; I’ll test it on my skin and if I notice anything else, I’ll update you all 🙂

  It opens with a surprising woody note: freshly cut hay, a scent typical of summer in northern France fields. Very fresh, green, and uplifting. I didn’t notice the vetiver at all, which is great because I’m not a huge fan, just a hint in the base. It reminds me of Oriza Legrand’s Foin fraîchement coupé, but this is much softer and less vintage. Feels modern, light, and very wearable. Doesn’t smell like a dad or a teenager with Invictus; has a semi-formal, masculine character, though that neutral hay scent wouldn’t disgust me on a girl either. 9/10 because it brings back memories of countryside road trips 😄
