About Hot Excess
Hot Excess by Plaisance: A Sweet Chypre Floral with a Honeyed Twist
Hot Excess is a women's fragrance from Plaisance, belonging to the Chypre Floral olfactory family. It balances bright citrus top notes with a rich, honeyed heart and a dark, sweet base.
Despite its name, this scent is more about indulgent sweetness than overwhelming heat. The blend of toffee, licorice, and patchouli gives it a modern, slightly daring character.
The opening is fresh and zesty, with orange and mandarin providing an immediate burst of energy. These citrus notes are short-lived but set the stage for the floral heart.
At the heart, honey takes center stage, supported by jasmine, orange blossom, peach, and gardenia. The combination is lush and opulent, with a creamy, almost edible quality from the peach and honey.
The base is where Hot Excess gets its name. Patchouli adds an earthy depth, while toffee and licorice introduce a sweet, slightly bitter edge. This contrast keeps the fragrance from becoming too cloying.
The accords list includes sweet, white floral, honeyed, citrus, floral, patchouli, soft spicy, fruity, and animalic. The animalic note is subtle, adding a touch of sensuality without being overpowering.
With a rating of 4.5 out of 5 from two reviews, Hot Excess has already found an appreciative audience.
This perfume will appeal to those who love sweet, honeyed florals with a gourmand twist. It's ideal for evening wear or for when you want a scent that feels both comforting and daring.
Hot Excess is a confident, indulgent fragrance that lives up to its name. It's a treat for anyone who wants to wear something sweet, floral, and a little bit naughty.

My girlfriend used it and it smelled like cigar but the good kind, it was pretty weird but it was a funny smell, recommended to stand out from the rest, don’t expect compliments for it being good, rather for saying ‘What did she put on?’ They say it smells like Scandal for women and I saw they have the same notes. I guess they are exactly the same. Edit: THEY SMELL THE SAME. I didn’t notice a difference, she put on Scandal and I asked her if she put on this one 🤣🤣 Good dupe 10/10
