Hemlock is a super light EAU de toilette; while it smells sweet and ambered, its fresh base makes it perfect for daytime wear, even in intense heat. Beyond the official notes, what I detect are fresh white flowers, slightly sharp with an animalic touch, over an amber base. The rum and that distinct plastic/vinyl note come out strong at first, accompanied by a spicy hint. I recommend it if you’re looking for something daily for summer but want to escape typical citrus or aquatic scents; or if you want something sweet that doesn’t cloy. If you like white flowers and seek something different, this is your spot because Hemlock is unique. Longevity is moderate, which is logical for an EAU de toilette. The price isn’t bad for a limited-production niche brand. This is exactly what it offers: exclusivity. Scent: 8.5 Longevity: 7 Sillage: 6 Versatility: 10 Originality: 10 Overall: 8.5
