H&M never disappoints. Despite being budget fragrances, none smell flat or one-dimensional. I’m absolutely captivated by this one; it’s perfect for spring, right in that transition from cold to warm weather. The scent is classic, timeless, and fantastic.
This is my only H&M perfume and the sole creation by Olivier Pescheux that convinced me after testing the entire range in-store. While there were other options, none felt as original to me. By the way, Makassar Patchouli is an intense patchouli monolith, ideal for solo wear or blending. In contrast, La Raconteuse is head-over-heels floral, not for anyone sensitive to those notes. It opens with natural bitter orange and neroli, then sweetens with ylang-ylang and vanilla. The sillage is moderate and lasts about 6 hours on my skin. I grabbed it at a 60% discount since it’s being discontinued, so it’s a great find for spring, and I’m curious to try more from the brand. Scent: 7.5, Longevity: 7, Sillage: 7, Value: 8, Versatility: 7, Packaging: 6.5. Yes, I’d buy it again.
