The great Bofifa opens doors to incredible scents, like this Gran Valor Tabac, a vintage style released in 2007 that I love more than the classic Tabac for its presence and intensity. It deserves to be rescued from obscurity amidst the mediocrity of many current releases. These 80s perfumes have a charm and personality that words can’t quite capture: they are pure emotions. Two sprays and you’re transported to an era where everything was made with care and a different kind of quality.

  2. Gran Valor, what a fitting name, because they truly had a lot of value in Tabac for launching this cologne in 2007. Of course, the brand has always done its thing and trusts men with traditional tastes, but this, within the realm of ‘conservative,’ is at the limit. Change the year to 1982 and it would fit perfectly. Tabac Gran Valor is an old-school powerhouse. Its projection is more polished and discreet, but its longevity is brutal; the scent blends Paco Rabanne Pour Homme, Azzaro, and Bogart One Man Show. It has a green touch from oakmoss, tobacco notes, patchouli, and warm amber tones. The composition, though retro, is well-made, it works, and it’s perfect for pure 80s lovers without overdoing it, with more or less discretion. As expected, it was discontinued before dawn, and today it’s hard to find. Alongside Tabac Extreme, it might be its favorite flanker. Ideal for fans of neighborhood perfumeries: if you see it, grab it, and it will reward you hands down.
