  Golden Oud is a masterpiece by Alberto Morillas, far from being a forced collaboration with Mizensir. It reaffirms his career with a smoky, dark oud blended with amber and enchanting floral notes of rose for lovers of the ingredient. The first spray reminded me a lot of Tom Ford’s Tuscan Leather: that raspberry and amber sensation spiced with incense is here, but within minutes the perfume reveals its true self. Morillas offers a resinous oud, never ‘stinky’ or ‘milky’. The velvety, elegant, slightly dusty rose accompanies the wood without that wet, freshly cut smell. The resinous base adds a subtle semi-sweetness; incense and cetalox, a derivative of ambroxan, dominate the dry down. As it dries, the resinous wood shines brighter, the rose fades, and the scent lingers until it disappears. It evokes a dark night in a forest burning oud and resins in a vessel to channel relaxation and opulence. It’s nocturnal, ideal for cold weather or cool nights, unisex with no defined gender. Sumptuously elegant, perfect for formal events. Longevity exceeds 10 hours, still perceptible in your aura the next day, with linear performance from the second hour onward. High price due to the creator, the house, and the ingredient, recommended for oud lovers, though there are other viable options at that price point. I love this creation: Morillas’ oud is charming, nocturnal, enigmatic, seductive, and elegant. Alberto reaffirms his expertise with ingenuity and creativity that continues to surprise us.

  Golden Oud is a creation by master Alberto Morillas. While it’s not a mandatory piece in Mizensir’s lineup, it certainly reaffirms his track record. It’s a smoky, dark oud blended with amber and rose notes that will captivate any lover of the ingredient. The first spray reminded me a lot of Tom Ford’s Tuscan Leather, with that jammy, ambered feel from the frankincense, but within minutes the perfume reveals its true identity: a resinous oud that is never ‘stinky’ or milky. The velvet, elegant rose accompanies the wood, nothing like that wet, freshly-cut rose found in other scents. The resinous base adds a subtle semi-sweetness, highlighting the frankincense and cetalox (an ambergris derivative). As it dries down, the resinous wood takes over, the rose fades away, and the scent lingers until it finally vanishes. It evokes a dark night in the forest, burning oud and resins in a vessel to channel relaxation and luxury. It’s a nighttime scent, perfect for cold weather or crisp nights, unisex, and suitable for formal occasions. It lasts over 10 hours, leaving a trail on your aura the next day, with linear performance starting from the second hour. The price is steep due to the creator, the house, and the ingredient, so while it’s highly recommended for oud fans, there are other viable options. I absolutely loved this creation: Morillas’ oud is enchanting, nocturnal, enigmatic, seductive, and elegant. Alberto reaffirms his expertise with wit and creativity.

  Here, the oud takes charge from start to finish: sophisticated, smoky, and resinous, with a fougère touch that likely comes from papyrus. The rose is the star, sharp and piercing, staying alive almost until the end, wrapped in a smoky incense base. A hint of amyris adds sweetness and creaminess, closing with an amber dry down that has a slight animalic air.

  Here, the oud takes the reins from start to finish. It’s highly sophisticated, smoky, and resinous, with fougery reminiscences, probably due to the papyrus. Rose plays a key role, sharp and piercing, present from the opening almost until the end, wrapped in a smoky incense accord in the background. A delicate touch of amyris wood gives it a slightly sweet and creamy air, followed by an amber dry down with a light animalic nuance.
