  • A fragrance worthy of the house! The packaging is beautiful, a gorgeous burgundy that makes it stand out, in the typical 50ml Xerjoff bottle. It launches with a bang; the power invades everything. It smells like a majestic, well-balanced set of spices over an ambered, vanilla, and powdery base, typical of a distinctive, elegant, and opulent oriental. These aren’t natural spices, but the best extraction of each, masterfully blended over a luxurious base that explodes. A few minutes in, during the dry-down, the gourmand notes emerge: hard to tell if it’s coffee, tea, cocoa, hazelnut cream, or masala… like that hot drink in a dark, cold café, covered by a haze of incense. It’s a blend of fine spices embraced by warm vanilla, creamy amber, and a gourmand taste of hot beverage, with a light powdery touch settling on the skin. Projection is moderate to high and longevity is exceptional. It reminded me of Baruti’s CHAI: both have that quality, majestic spiciness, depth, warmth, and complexity that make me feel hugged and comforted. The difference is that Golden Dallah has a gourmand side that leans ‘X’ and doesn’t tip, whereas Chai irreversibly evokes its inspiration, masala tea. Golden Dallah has better performance; in my opinion, it leans slightly more feminine, while Chai is neutral and unisex. Both are autumnal and winter scents, not very versatile, more for personal enjoyment. I struggle to find occasions to wear them because they evoke very precise and sporadic sensations.

Don’t buy blindly: it’s for special occasions, better to test before spending on 50ml. The scent is exquisite and you can smell every note, though it’s not pure coffee but spiced with coffee, hazelnut, and rose touches. I kept the 15ml because 4 sprays last all day, ideal for fall and winter. If you’re looking for pure coffee, try Montale’s Intense Café for her or Akro’s Awake for him, both exquisite.

First rule: don’t buy blind. It’s not that it’s bad, but it’s for special occasions; better to try before spending on 50ml. The scent is exquisite and you can clearly smell almost all the notes. It’s not a pure coffee perfume, but spiced with coffee touches, hazelnuts, roses, etc., with no single note dominating. I settled on 15ml because I think they’ll last a long time; 4 sprays last all day, and I’ll only use it in fall and winter. If you’re looking for a coffee scent for women, try Montale’s Intense Café (rose and coffee). For men, Akro’s Awake is an exquisite ambered coffee with a very marked coffee note.

I’ve tried countless fragrances, and as of today, Golden Dallah is my favorite. Sweet, unique, enveloping, I’m in love with this scent. 10/10.

A great oriental-style perfume, like those Turkish coffees with lots of spices. It lasts all day and projects for about 4 hours. People like it, though it’s not the type to beg for compliments.

  • All it took was testing a 2ml decant on skin and clothes to fall in love with this beautiful perfume. That’s what Xerjoff does: when you think you’ve found the best, you discover another that equals or surpasses it. It’s unisex, slightly masculine due to the spice intensity: cardamom, clove, cinnamon, maybe ginger, all over a woody base led by Xerjoff’s signature Oud, exclusive quality, warm, powerful, and addictive. In bursts, you notice a sweetness of cocoa, vanilla, and hazelnuts, but the coffee keeps it neutral, so I don’t consider it gourmand. It’s a unique blend, high quality, and completely addictive. I rank it in my top 10. I’m happy to own it, but mostly to wear it; despite its complexity, I find it versatile. I don’t recommend buying blind, but if you like spiced oriental scents with Oud, it’s a safe purchase.

Golden Dallah is amber, spiced, and while I won’t go against the grain, I’d also categorize it as gourmand within the Coffee line. For me, it’s the best in the collection, surpassing its sibling Golden Moka. It’s exquisite: a wealth of exotic spices, a light incense that isn’t church-like, a wonderful coffee adorned with cocoa, hazelnuts, and tonka bean for just the right sweetness, plus warm amber and a very perceptible rose. It transports me to a luxurious Arab café in the desert, by an oasis, sipping coffee amidst spice aromas. It conveys maturity, calm, and security; it’s so addictive I can’t stop sniffing myself. Highly recommended, it drives me crazy.

Finally! After trying everything to find my obligatory Xerjoff, this one hit the spot. Warm, clean, with smoky rose and a subtle coffee note, so refined it’s addictive. Flawless quality and longevity as expected from the brand. Highly recommended if you like gourmands, even though this isn’t one.

FINALLY! After trying many perfumes from this brand that left me wanting more, this one hit the mark. I feel like a collection needs a Xerjoff, haha. It’s warm, clean, with smoky rose and a subtle coffee note, so refined it’s addictive. The quality is undeniable and the longevity is excellent. Highly recommended if you like gourmands (even though this isn’t strictly one).

  • ABSOLUTELY AMAZING FOR EVERY OCCASION! A true bomb for spice, incense, and wood lovers. It feels modern, perfect for anyone 25 and up: it garners compliments without being overbearing, very pleasant, and invites people to get close. On rainy days, it’s pure magic: smells like chocolate and coffee amidst woods and incense with a sweet touch. I have a modern batch and it’s incredible. It’s not about trying to catch eyes, but about feeling good and letting your surroundings enjoy it.

  • ABSOLUTELY GREAT FOR EVERYTHING! A powerhouse for fans of spices, incense, and woods. Feels modern, perfect for people 25 and up. It gets compliments without being overwhelming, very pleasant and inviting to sniff. On rainy mornings, it’s a gem: like hot chocolate with coffee, woods, and incense, plus a fine sweetness. It’s not meant to chase compliments, but to feel good and please those around you.
