I own this and tried Symphony; they are almost indistinguishable, except at the opening where Emerald smells like dried-down Symphony. It’s a rich grapefruit and ginger scent, clean, citrusy, and fresh, giving the sensation of just stepping out of a bubble bath. What disappointed me was the performance: 4-5 hours with moderate projection for the first hour. For $80, I expected more, coming from Jo Milano. I recommend trying a decant to see the performance on you, as other reviews say it lasts over 7 hours. If it doesn’t last long for you, try Khadlaj Island Dream, half the price with better performance.
This is in my Top 5 of this Jo Milano line. Fresh, clean, citrusy, and sparkly. I had a decant of Symphony, and when this Emerald arrived, I told my wife to spray three blasts on each arm to guess which was which. I couldn’t tell; they are identical, especially once they dry. Highly recommended, among the 🔝 5 of Jo Milano.
It opens with a citrus scent similar to ADN Tygar or its clones, but evolves into a clean neroli floral note that sets it apart from the mentioned ones. It’s decent, it delivers, but it won’t blow anyone’s mind. It shares the citrus note with Bonus and Full House from the same line, but they are different scents.
This perfume is the epitome of expensive and unique smell. It smells like financial stability and not worrying about what you’re going to eat for breakfast. The best part is that my wife loved it, so that’s already a 10 out of 10. For me, it lasts and projects well; it’s not the projection of Arabian Tonka, but it has its own charm and is elegant. A perfect daytime party scent, white linen suit and Loro Piana-style loafers. You just need to be in Monaco, haha.
The only blind buy that disappointed me; I wanted to sell it, but my son liked it so I ended up wearing it. It has a bothersome sparkly note, very sharp, and gives me a headache an hour after applying. I feel it’s synthetically divine; that sharp note smells like gas. The longevity is good, a point in its favor if I liked the scent; since I don’t, it would have been better if it faded quickly. My son comes home from school with an intense aroma, as if just applied.
It gives me vibes of Turathi Blue, a fizzy citrus scent, though not what I expected. I’m half disappointed with the performance, but it’s a rich unisex fragrance. If you’re Chilean, it literally smells like Lemon Soda + Water, just like that, haha. If you’re looking for something citrusy and can afford the $80, it could be a good buy.
