It has that spicy, oily, greasy accord of La Nuit Homme, followed by an ambroxan-like dry-down like Invictus or Sauvage. Since I’m not a fan of either of those perfumes, I completely skip this one. It lasts well and leaves a nice trail, which is common these days.
Trialed it a million times just because of the bottle’s color, but I should have understood I wouldn’t like it. Got it as a gift months ago, and whenever I forget the scent, I foolishly try it again. I’m not going to keep doing it: it makes my stomach turn. Evitorial Twist is oily-bodied lavender, far from those cold, violet, anise-like, refreshing lavenders I love that make me want to take a nap in a freshly made bed. Here, the lavender smells like Raid moth traps: camphoraceous, ugly, and like a direct punch of radioactive camphor in the winter coat closet. Then it evolves into a tube of Vicks with sweet expectorant mint, but soon it’s back to reheated, hot lavender. If it has cardamom or ginger, my nose doesn’t pick them up; they seem microwaved, leaving a greasy mess like a melted clamp in the sun. It smells just like those fake glycerin cigarettes or coffee capsules that taste of sugary foam, not real coffee. This perfume has that plastic aftertaste of trying to mimic nature without succeeding.
