Bought this cologne blind because online reviews said it was fresh, and I was wrong. The top notes are citrusy and fresh, but once it dries down, it smells rancid. I made a huge mistake because ‘ginger’ is in the name; it smells like it’s trying to repel that ingredient. It gives me a headache. In the end, I didn’t gift it and kept it in a drawer, terrified my dad might like it. I already gifted him a Chanel that smells amazing, so this one definitely won’t go over well with him.

Schlesser’s take is very commercial, pleasant but cliché, smelling of generic floral-citrus feminine fragrances. It could work well with white florals for women, but it’s totally unisex. The scent is poorly constructed, smelling chemical and artificial. The notes listed on the website are illusory: you can’t detect lemon, ginger, pepper, or woods. It’s artificial and the notes are undetectable. Up close it smells okay because it’s mass-produced, but I don’t recommend it. I’ve had it for a year and used it less than ten times. It lacks personality.
