  • Smells absolutely delicious and exquisite. I love wearing it more on cool nights, like parties or formal gatherings. It really shines in slightly colder climates. A truly rich aroma.

  • This perfume smells very rich, exquisite. I have one; it smells richer on a cool night, for example, for a party or formal gathering. I feel it suits somewhat cool climates… rich aroma.

  • Horrible scent (smells only of lavender and nothing else), too synthetic, boring, just another generic one. It doesn’t last almost at all, and the alcohol smell in the fragrance is intense.

  • Horrible scent (just smells like lavender and nothing else), too synthetic, boring, just another one of the bunch. Doesn’t last almost anything; you can intensely feel the alcohol.

  • This perfume is, as its name says, leather. I bought it for childhood scent, but when I started using it, it didn’t sit well with me. It’s a vintage fragrance, somewhat complicated for me personally; I didn’t like it, but tastes differ…

  • This perfume is leather, as its name suggests. I bought it once for a childhood scent association. I started using it, but personally, it doesn’t work for me. It’s a vintage fragrance, something a bit complicated for my taste; I didn’t like it, but as they say, tastes vary…

It was the scent of my grandfather, my uncles, and my father, a perfume that olfactorily marked my childhood. It was, it was, and it was very much so, because it’s no longer even the pale shadow of what it gloriously was. Today it’s a perfume without magic, without splendor, much less longevity and sillage. It’s not something I would use, and yet all its notes are very much to my liking.

I have the after-shave in vintage formulation (the liquid is about 30 or 40 years old). My grandfather gifted it to me. The aroma sums up to: a fresh and fleeting top note, and in the base, leather (the main note), wood, and musk, all reinforcing the leather which is the star. The leather has petrol-like tones (like Knize Ten?), something spicy, and the musk gives it an animal and leathery tone. I haven’t used this vintage formulation much, and it would be good to test its longevity; normally it lasts a few minutes with strong projection at the start but fades quickly since it’s an after-shave. As people say, the current cologne smells synthetic and has poor performance, which is a shame. The vintage, with natural ingredients, is simply beautiful… It has so much class. If you find a vintage one, I highly recommend it. Greetings.

What a pity. Based on what I read here, this fragrance has become synthetic, and if that’s true, I’m truly sorry. It’s a cologne with which I can’t remain impartial. It’s the only one I knew my father used in my childhood, and I remember the sensation of testing it on my hand secretly: it was an adult aroma, of a serious man. There was a leather scent, but not an urban one, rather like an old jacket for riding motorcycles on dirt roads. Still, ironically, it felt formal and elegant. The image would be of an English Indiana Jones in a suit and impeccable tie at a high-level meeting (back then I knew nothing about Indiana Jones). The important thing was the individual, not the projection. Without English Leather, the man would still project the same image, just without smelling like a cologne that suited his personality. I’ll have to get a bottle, if possible, to do a critical and more impartial test. It’s hard to imagine a young person using that scent nowadays, since they have tattoos, impeccable beards, muscles, messy haircuts, tuned cars, cropped pants, branded underwear, and trendy perfumes. In any case, times change, and so do tastes. Maybe that’s good, though it makes me a bit sad.

  • This fragrance surprised me greatly since it lasts a long time for a cologne. It’s one of the vintage scents I’ve liked the most; I don’t find it complicated. I bought it because it was my grandfather’s perfume; my mom told me it smells just like when he used it. I don’t know how true that is, but I’m happy I got it. The only downside is the version I bought doesn’t have a spray nozzle, so you have to be careful applying it to avoid spilling. It cost me 600 Mexican pesos for 234ml, if I remember correctly, and it didn’t seem too expensive.

  • It was a huge surprise because it lasts forever for a cologne. It’s a vintage scent that I’ve loved; it doesn’t feel overly complicated. I bought it because it was my grandfather’s perfume; my mom said it smells just like it did when he wore it—I’m not sure if that’s true, but I’m glad I got it. The only downside is the version I got doesn’t come with a sprayer, so you have to be careful applying it to avoid spills. I paid 600 Mexican pesos for 234 ml, if I remember correctly, and it didn’t seem too expensive.

  • I think this English Leather is a great perfume. Ideal for autumn or winter afternoons; I have a 50ml bottle someone I esteem and respect gifted me long ago. I think it suits people over 40, though I’m under 30 and use it occasionally with perfect results. I suggest adding it to your collection regardless of your age because this perfume is FOR REAL MEN, NOT FOR BABIES. So if you want to smell like a real man with personality, use it on certain occasions. I’d give it a general rating of 7.5/10.

  • CURIOSITY. In an interview with the Holy Son, he mentions his father used this fragrance. Minute 25:43 on the Latin Lover Official YouTube channel. The Holy Son breaks the silence (I can’t paste the link)🤔
