  1. I’ve always hated those bitter-sweet herbal chypres, but now I can’t stop talking about them; tastes change, and with age, you see things differently, just like a movie that once felt long but now you enjoy. Empreinte is a light, green, animalic chypre—less dramatic, prioritizing floral and fruity notes. It’s subtler, yet impossible to ignore its potent green artemisia and moss, the bite of coriander and castor; they stay refined. You can detect the woody side, all serving that floral chypre. It reminds me of facets of Paloma Picasso, but Empreinte is more relaxed, without that 80s flashiness, preferring that fresh green floral vibe with a spicy animalic base. It’s the 90s EDT, relaunched in 2010. Moderate sillage, good longevity that clings close to the skin. It has some resemblance to Givenchy III and Ivoire, though I feel the Courreges version is lighter. I really like it.
