Honestly, it just didn’t work for me. It smells like pure sour lemon, which really turns me off; it gives me a sour face. The smoky touch is original and has good projection for 10 to 15 hours, but the citrus note ruins it for me.
Fraganceando_madrid
One of the best citrus openings out there. A lemon impact that darkens and smokes over time. Classic, elegant, and full of character. Lasts 5 or 6 hours on my skin, which is notable for this type of scent. One of the best commercial citrus fragrances.

Perfect for a summer night. I’d recommend trying it before buying; I imagined it differently. When dry, it reminds me a bit of Dior Homme Sport 2021 and the base of Invictus. It’s a cologne but performs much better than the Tdh Eau Givree.
JORDIET
One of my favorites for its freshness. For me, one of the best citrus openings on the market.

I’ve already talked about it; it remains one of the best citrus scents. In the air, what I notice most is the lime; I gifted it to my father, and from a distance, that note really stands out. The projection is wide but fine, not heavy.

Fresh and smoky citrus opening. The middle darkens the citrus, with lime standing out with a deeper smoke. Dry down is woody and smoky citrus. Projection is 4-5 hours, closer to the skin more than 8 hours; it shines in the heat. Linear but accurate evolution. Dry citrus, smoke, and wood make it elegant. Don’t let it fool you just because it’s an Eau de Cologne; it performs like an Eau de Toilette or Parfum in the heat. Similar to Search by Amouage but much cheaper, a true gem.

Eau de Citron Noir: Starts with a fresh, smoky citrus note. Within minutes, the acidity deepens, gaining depth as the lime shines through with a richer smoke. The drydown leaves a smoky citrus on wood. It projects for 4-5 hours, but easily lasts 8+ hours on the skin, especially in heat. The evolution is linear but spot-on. Dry citrus, smoke, and wood give it elegance. Don’t be fooled by the ‘eau de cologne’ name; it performs like an ‘eau de toilette’ or better in the heat. Smells very much like Amouage Search but at a fair price—a true gem.

Rich citrus, reminds me of the opening of Terre d’Hermès. I like it, but it’s not very potent, more of a home scent.

An underrated long-lasting cologne; many people try it once at the department store and discard it. Fresh, smoky, and very enjoyable.

Spectacular perfume, it has the classic fresh structure but taken to another level. It smells like traditional classics like 4711 or Acqua di Parma, but with citruses so well crafted they feel much more real. What I notice most is the scent of grating lemon peel to make a cake and a lime with its acidity, giving it freshness and darkness, moving it away from the classic profile toward something more interesting. Although it’s by Hermès, in my opinion it fits into niche due to the photorealistic citruses and the interesting twist they give to the classic. The woods and smoke appear as it dries, extending its life, though the citruses remain throughout. Tremendous perfume.

Spectacular. It has a classic fresh structure but executed on another level. It smells like 4711 or Acqua di Parma, but with realistic citrus: the zest of lemon for cake and a sharp lime that adds freshness and darkness, moving away from the classic. Although it’s Hermès, it fits into niche due to the photorealism and interesting twist. The woods and smoke appear as it dries, extending the longevity. Tremendous perfume.

I just tried Victorio and Lucchino; extreme freshness and it’s quite similar, especially at the opening. Great ultra-cheap option and slightly more masculine for those who like this Hermès.

Hermès Eau de Citron Noir is a citrus and woody fragrance. The opening features celestial citrus notes—very pleasant, smelling of lime and lemon—but lasts only about 10 minutes. After that, it turns slightly smoky and green. Another half-hour later, the smoky tone fades, leaving a woody base, maybe a touch of patchouli and ambroxan, with no further evolution. Citron Noir is best for daytime or morning wear because citrus brings joy and energy (even if it doesn’t last long). Being light, it’s perfect for spring and summer, daily use, casual outings, or the office. The longevity was actually good, over 8 hours, but the projection is skin-scent after an hour. It’s unisex, pleasant, simple, and high quality, though it lacks projection. I don’t recommend buying blind given the price, but I encourage trying it to form your own opinion.

I like the opening, but as time goes on, I start to dislike it. It feels high-quality due to its classic simplicity. Nowadays, everything just smells the same.

Smoke? Black tea? Excuse me???? This is just a slightly sweet lemon with the fresh part of the hedione. I’m floored by the description lol. For a Hermès EDC, it doesn’t perform that well, lasting only a few hours mostly as a skin scent.

The graphic defines it perfectly: citrus + smoky + woody. And that’s it. It’s a very flat citrus with no sparkling or radiant phases. Álvarez Gómez’s Eau de Cologne or any of Ellena’s would win by a landslide. For Hermès, it feels excessively simple, linear, and one-dimensional. Diamond Cedar by Perris Montecarlo offers a similar balance between citrus and wood, but with translucent layers, so if you’re looking in this line, my recommendation is the ones I mentioned above.

It lasted 30 minutes on my skin 🙁 I don’t know what to say…

It’s a very fresh EDC perfect for summer, reminiscent of classic colognes but slightly sweeter and smokier. The opening is mostly citrus peel, especially lime, with a faint touch of burnt wood. The scent is very realistic and I find it unisex. My partner says I smell like his grandfather (tastes differ, of course). That said, for the price, the longevity is a joke: it doesn’t even project for an hour and is gone from my skin by hour 3. For this, I’d rather buy 4711, which performs infinitely better in terms of quality/price. Pleasant: 7/10 Interesting: 3/10 Versatile: 6/10 Original: 5/10

I received it as a sample when I bought another fragrance. The opening is pure citrus with a hint of smoke. On my skin, the lime and lemon come through very strongly. The smoky touch is a bit more subtle, like standing in front of a fireplace with a shot of lemon liqueur (lemoncello), but without the sweet part. As it settles, the smoke becomes more prominent with a subtle lemon note. It didn’t have much trail or sillage. Lasted a maximum of 1 to 2 hours on me.

A very rich cologne, unfortunately, it doesn’t last long. Honestly, in this Hermès line, fragrances are merely meant to refresh you for a brief moment, no more than half an hour. If you like this scent, I recommend trying Halloween Blue Drop by J. del Pozo; it has a very similar citrus note and is much cheaper $$$

Fantastic. A basket of fresh smoked citrus, limes, lemon, cider, the touch of tea being prepared, very interesting. It has influences from Encre Sport and Vibrant Leather; that’s where this fragrance walks. Look, for an EDC, its fixation and quality are excellent above the average of an EDT. The price isn’t a little less accessible, but it’s a great self-gift hahaha

Exquisite smoky citrus perfume, pure luxury in scent and performance. It lasts 4 to 6 hours on my skin, it’s exquisite and incredible. This Hermès launch leaves me nothing but satisfied; I bought it at a great price and I’m very happy. Smelling it brings to mind a summer-autumn afternoon in front of mountains wet with rain. The perfumer describes it perfectly: ‘The cologne from noon to midnight.’ It’s excellent, I give it a total 10.

I was very surprised by its longevity, something unusual for a citrus fragrance. The projection also stands out. As for the scent, it’s eminently citrusy, but that hint of smoke or incense gives it personality. It works perfectly as a night fragrance, in any season. It felt like something halfway between Eau de Rochas Pour Homme and Encre Noir.

Exquisite smoked citrus perfume. It’s luxury in aroma, and the performance is great, lasting about 4-6 hours on my skin like a good cologne. Exquisite, incredible Hermès launch, it didn’t leave me unhappy. I got it at an excellent price and I’m very happy with it. If you allow me to describe what comes to mind when smelling it… it’s a summer-autumn afternoon in front of mountains dampened by rain. The perfumer describes it well: ‘The Cologne from noon to midnight’. It’s excellent, I give it a total 10.

I was genuinely surprised by its longevity, which is rare for a citrus. The projection is also solid. It smells like pure citrus, but that smoky or incense-like touch gives it serious personality. It works great for nightwear in any season. To me, it feels like a middle ground between Eau de Rochas Pour Homme and Encre Noir.

I’d been eyeing it for months, and with the summer heat, I decided to try it again to see if I’d finally be convinced. I fell in love. Finding a lemon this pure at the top is hard, and while that initial blast doesn’t last, it’s memorable enough to linger once the scent settles. On my skin, the black tea and wood last over six hours, even after working out, keeping that citrus vibe alive though softer. It feels fresh and sharp. Hard to ignore, even when worn discreetly. It doesn’t leave a trail after so long, but I’m happy just smelling it on myself.

When they told me it was a smoky lemon, I got excited. But the truth is, it doesn’t smell particularly special; it reminds me quite a bit of Halloween Blue Drop, only this Hermès version is a bit sweeter.

I love limes, but this one isn’t for me. It’s a very realistic, dark, scrubby, salty, smoky lime, yet it lacks surprise. I noticed that omnipresent ambroxan note that limes often introduce: dark and unsweetened. But it just smells like ambroxan. Must be paranoia. Yes… from start to finish, it smells like sweat, salty and sour. It reminds me of Sauvage, though they aren’t that similar, and also one of its clones: Aqva Atlantiqve. Regarding other Hermès eaux, the longevity isn’t bad. I sprayed it three hours ago, and it’s still clearly there. All my disappointments with Hermès stem from this cologne line. I don’t doubt it has its audience, and a very broad one these days.
