I’m having trouble connecting with it; it’s not that I dislike it, but it doesn’t make me fall in love either. It smells like a fortune teller’s shop in the middle of the desert at night, among candles, rugs, and fabrics with a dense, resinous, and boozy incense. My sister says it smells like ‘a drunk with money’. Its projection and longevity are insane. The good thing is that it makes you remember and grabs attention; my sister’s boyfriend always asks her to wear it when he’s home.
Update: 1) I gifted it to my sister, and she liked it more than I did. Anyway, at the New Year’s parties, a few hours after I left home, she walked into her room and the scent was wafting two meters ahead of her with a double trail. I asked what perfume she was wearing, and she said: the one you gave me, can you smell it? What a charmer! I was blown away. It smells floral, resinous, and ambered, a bit dark, nothing like the opening. Conclusion: the dry-down lasts about three hours or more. In short, I loved the finish even more (12 hours later). 2) A few days later, my aunt said: your sister smelled so good this morning. I thought: hmm, could it be DJinn? I wrote to her and asked what she was wearing in the morning, and guess what… yes! DJinn. Anyway, my aunt loved the opening. What’s curious is that everyone has their own taste.
It’s a complicated perfume (at least for me): it doesn’t offend me, but it doesn’t make me fall in love either. It smells like a fortune teller’s shop in the middle of the desert at night, among candles, rugs, and fabrics with a dense, resinous, and boozy incense. My sister says it smells like ‘a drunk with money’ haha. The performance, projection, and longevity are above average. The good thing is that it’s a scent that makes you remember and grabs attention. My sister’s boyfriend always asks her to put some on when he’s home, and it seems he’s crazy about it.
Today I blind-tested Moschino’s Toy Boy and I love the risk. Hey, it smells just like a light version of Sapientiae’s DJinn, because the original is a beast. Has anyone else compared them? Hugs.
