Few perfumes in my collection relax me as much as Del Mar; it’s so rich that I sometimes wear it to sleep. It’s perfectly balanced, with no single note overpowering the others; everything coexists in harmony. I bought it from the perfumer at Day Three in MxScent, who told me it’s inspired by the sea of the Dominican Republic. When I smell it, it doesn’t smell like a tourist beach, but rather a virgin paradise in the middle of nature, a Caribbean island. I’d describe it as marine, white floral, creamy, with a sweet touch, and very clean. Because of this, its projection is modest; it’s an intimate scent that stays closer to the skin for its 6 to 8 hours of longevity.
