  Sol de Janeiro really broke the mold with this mist 😅. It has nothing to do with what they used to make: it’s not summery, tropical, or ‘beachy’. The opening is surprising because you wouldn’t expect it from the brand; you can detect fig and pear, and even I picked up a sweet licorice note not listed on the label. I think it’s an attempt to attract a male audience, because after the initial burst, it settles into a unisex, almost masculine aroma. It could be perfect for evening wear or autumn instead of summer. It has great longevity and projection. Definitely a bold choice for those who want something different.

  It caught me off guard; I never expected anything like this from the brand. It’s a unique, exquisite scent; I never thought I’d like fig notes, but I’m fascinated by them. It’s sparkling, dapper, and even a bit powdery. It smells like a niche perfume despite being affordable, and if someone told me it cost over £400, I’d believe it. Elegant, soft, and powerful: my new favorite.
