Descripción
Cozumel by Laboratorio Olfattivo is an aromatic fougère fragrance for men. Launched in 2010, this composition was created by perfumer Marie Duchêne. The top notes feature green accords, basil, and bergamot, offering a fresh and vibrant opening. The heart reveals an unusual combination of tobacco, white flower, cannabis, statice, and amber, creating a warm and earthy atmosphere. The base settles on sandalwood, tonka bean, Virginia cedar, and incense, adding depth and longevity to the scent trail.

I smell it as woody with green notes, especially at the start. The sandalwood and green notes are quite noticeable, and the hemp is also present. As it dries, I catch a hint of white tobacco, very subtle, and occasional flashes of amber, even lighter. It clings to the skin almost from the beginning, at least on my skin. It lasts quite a while, but it’s hard to smell. It could work for the office, though the price seems outrageous for what it offers. Maybe it’s the weakest in the brand, but the scent isn’t bad. It sounds more masculine and suited for hot climates or spring. Ideal for daytime use.
Accurate, though I think you can achieve the same effect without spending so much. It feels quite linear, except for the first few sprays. The scent is somewhat milky, reminiscent of those classic coconut and fig leaf perfumes; I suppose it’s due to the type of sandalwood used. Otherwise, I don’t detect any tobacco or cannabis. It smells good, but the average performance doesn’t help the overall rating.
It starts interestingly with herbs, smoky tobacco, and an almost creamy sandalwood that lasts about half an hour. Then it fades and clings to the skin with very poor performance. During that time it smells good, but it’s not original or striking enough to justify its price. For me, totally dispensable in the current landscape. Rating: 5.

While it smells good during that time, it’s neither original nor striking enough to justify the price. For me, completely dispensable in today’s market. Rating: 5.
An enveloping and sweet fragrance with that Caribbean sunset vibe. It dries down to floral and amber, elegant and well-made. It’s unisex but leans more masculine. It reminds me of Santal du Pacifique by Perris Montebello in terms of evolution and structure. It has moderate sillage and projection, just what you’d expect from a classy scent. As always: test it and let it dry before buying.
