Cloud Intense by Ariana Grande

I hate lavender on my skin, but this is the only perfume I can tolerate with it because I don’t even notice it xD. More than tolerating it, I’ve loved it: smells like sugar, musk, and coconut. It’s clean and sweet without needing vanilla, which I’m tired of. The projection isn’t huge, but it lasts all day. It’s calm, soft, and perfect for daily wear. When I wear it, the scent clings heavily to my clothes.

I didn’t find it sweeter than the traditional version; I sensed it was more oriental, reminding me of Kahmra, with lots of wood, something like cinnamon at first. Then it blends with the traditional scent—it lacks the harsh notes of that one, but I feel this version loses some charm: it’s more adult, more intense in its notes, but not sweeter or creamier for me. It reminds me more of meringue than chantilly; I love milky scents, and this didn’t deliver. I prefer the traditional one, with its flaws :/.

Sweet, creamy, and cozy fragrance without pretensions. It’s easy to wear, uncomplicated, and drama-free. It has that comforting vibe of a soft blanket on a quiet afternoon. It’s my ideal perfume for cool days when I want to feel calm without overthinking it.

I also own the original Cloud, which is my favorite perfume, and honestly, I was a bit disappointed because everything I read said this was better… for me, they smell identical. I also don’t feel it lasts longer or has more sillage. So, for me, it’s just Cloud in a different bottle; luckily, I love it. EDIT: I compared them again, and honestly, it does smell more intense and leaves a trail, but it lasts the same as the original Cloud.

It’s delicate but doesn’t project much; my girlfriend says it smells just like Cloud, so I believe her.

This is my favorite from the Cloud line. I own all three, and this is the one I love the most. It has much better longevity and sillage than the original, which I find too soft and doesn’t last at all. This one lasts a long time. It smells delicate, feminine, creamy, and addictive, like a sweet cream with flowers. It’s a combination that hooks you. I’m sure I’ll buy it again when it runs out; it’s one of my favorites.

As soon as I apply it to my skin, I get a strong milky coconut and whipped cream vibe. It has better longevity than the regular Cloud (lasts about 3 hours on me), and the Intense version lasts up to 7 hours without reapplication—excellent duration. The projection is moderate; it’s not loud, but it’s noticeable. I detect less lavender than in the original, which I actually prefer. I don’t agree that it’s identical; for me, the Intense is better. Quick summary of the three: 1.-Cloud: Lots of lavender, feels more unisex and versatile for daily wear, but it doesn’t last or project well on my skin (it shows up a bit more on clothes, but barely compared to other famous fragrances). Would I buy it again? No. 2.-Cloud Pink: Fruity, fresh, and youthful—perfect for summer. You can definitely taste the pineapple and some red fruit (maybe dragon fruit). Longevity was excellent on skin and clothes, projection is moderate to low, but it smells great up close. Would I buy it again? Yes, it’s my favorite. 3.-Cloud Intense: Milky and sweeter, with coconut taking the lead. Excellent longevity on skin and clothes. The trail is moderate, making it suitable for day or night in cool weather, and if you’re used to sweet summer scents for evenings, a few sprays go a long way. Would I buy it again? Yes, though it might be hard to find.

As a Cloud fan, I just couldn’t resist. I see the original as lighter, fruitier, and sweeter at the start, with that medicinal BCR note being more prominent. Here, this one smells creamier and denser. The praline and whipped cream stand out more than the coconut, which feels more present in the original on my skin. I see the regular Cloud as brighter and younger, while the Intense is slightly more mature, though not necessarily more sophisticated. To me, they’re about 80% the same, so owning both seems unnecessary. On my skin, it projects and lasts a bit longer, but without an overwhelming difference. It’s versatile, though I’d wear it more in the morning or afternoon rather than for night outs. Verdict: Do I like it more than the first one? Probably yes, I enjoy both. Is it worth owning both? Absolutely not; they’re too similar. Is it worth going crazy to get it if it’s hard to find? I don’t think so, since there’s no major difference in scent or performance (in my case). Still, I’m happy to have it and know I’ll enjoy it a lot.

Ariana songs that interest me: 0. Ariana perfumes that interest me: I didn’t expect this, but after smelling it, I’d say I want to try them all. On my skin, it smells like super-sweet yet delicate and spiced cotton candy… it has something that I absolutely love. Complimented, good longevity… The only downside is that where I live, I can only find it at a high price at an online perfumery, and as soon as I tried it, I wanted to buy another bottle so I wouldn’t run out 🥲 (The Giant Cloud bottle is overkill; I suspect it increases the cost unnecessarily. I’d prefer a finer, less ostentatious bottle).

I haven’t noticed the regular Cloud. But it does resemble Bacarat; I know exactly what and why there’s so much debate. Especially that resinous note, like plastic (not in a bad way), it’s different, rich, like a brand new toy.

It’s my signature scent now. Unlike the regular version, I perceive deeper woody notes and a creamier opening. Strong longevity: during the heat of the season, both me and people around me can smell it for over 6 hours. I receive too many compliments. No one has mentioned that it smells ‘feminine’; I consider it 100% unisex.

It’s an improved Cloud—sweeter and more elegant, the adult version of the original. It no longer smells so much of lavender; instead, it’s like a smoothie of coconut, milk, and coffee with a strong woody base. I love it. Lasts incredibly long on the skin and outperforms the regular Cloud 🍦🥥

They say it’s a dupe of BR 540 Extract, but I don’t feel that way. Cloud 2.0 is sweeter and less harsh, with its own personality. The original lavender sits in the background; it’s creamier, more consistent, and leans lactonic. The ambroxan adds a touch of formality while the coconut takes a back seat. In the dry-down, the woody notes really stand out. It’s not a beast in terms of longevity, but it lasts longer than the original and projects better for the first 2-3 hours. If you’re torn between buying one or the other, go for this: it’s worth it, a gem the original was missing.

The bottle looks like Ursula’s silhouette from The Little Mermaid… It hasn’t arrived in Chile yet, but I imagine it will be very intense with a stronger trail than its sister, which is already a delight.
