It’s a slightly basic citrus scent. What stands out most is the bergamot, chili, and vetiver. It’s linear with no significant evolution. It won’t drive anyone crazy or make people seek you out in a crowd.
Maison Crivelli’s Citrus Batikanga might not be their most niche offering, but it boasts excellent quality and distinctive nuances that set it apart from the ordinary. To my nose, it’s a citrus festival featuring cardamom (dominated by grapefruit), sweetened by well-blended rhubarb and myrrh that add density. Vetiver and chili linger in the background to provide effervescence throughout the entire evolution. The only downside is the performance, though it’s not below average. I feel it could be the lost sibling to Acqua di Parma’s Colonia Mirra, but less mature and more youthful. I absolutely love it; I see it as ultra-versatile, high-quality, and perfectly unisex. Sometimes, taking the common and basic to maximum power just works. Rating: 8.5/10.

It’s not my style. At first, I thought I’d love it, but while the citrus sparkles at the start, on my skin it turns dry and earthy, making it feel very masculine. It might be a nice scent for a man, but it lacks anything truly special to make it a great perfume. The trail is moderate and it lasts, it’s not unpleasant, overwhelming, or intrusive, but it feels rough to me. It’s not the kind of scent I’m drawn to in a gentleman, and I want to keep enjoying my other options. It’s discreet, evolves very little, almost linear. It has a hint of incense, but it doesn’t improve it. Probably a man would find more charm in it than I do as a woman, though I must say I’d prefer any other citrus men’s fragrance, like Acqua di Parma’s ‘Intense Colonia’, which it reminds me of.
This isn’t my style. At first, I thought I’d love it, but while the citrus sparkles at the start, on my skin it dries down to something dry and earthy, making it feel very masculine. It might be a nice aroma for a man, but it has nothing truly special about it to consider it a great perfume. It has moderate sillage and decent longevity; it doesn’t offend, isn’t suffocating, or intrusive, but it feels rough to me.
