  • It’s a serious fragrance, more for personal enjoyment than to turn heads. It reminds me a bit of Allure Homme, but it’s different: discreet, soft, and not at all invasive. I bought it years ago in Monterrey when I was 24. I didn’t detect any citrus notes; it’s more woody with an amber base. It’s perfect for autumn and winter; in the heat, it disappears. I haven’t repurchased it because the traditional Carlo Corinto version is the best. This Noir has moderate performance, little sillage, and isn’t noticeable, but it’s not bad, just simple. Maybe I’ll buy it someday just for nostalgia.

  • Victor - Perfumaniac

Contradictory attitude: I wore it in 2008 or 2009, pairing it with Carlo Cool. At first, I just thought, ‘Carlo.’ The bottle screams intensity and rebellion, but once you spray it, you realize it’s sweeter and more aromatic than dry. The fruits and clove make an interesting combo with the classic lavender (I even sensed an undeclared hint of anise), very enveloping. As it dries down, the amber gives it that ‘punch’ of strength and a powdery effect. The fixative is good; if you apply it too close, it overwhelms, but within minutes it settles into discretion. Ideal for young people aged 20 to 35, better for night or cool days. Sprays: 5 to 7. Fixative: 8. Trail and strength: moderate.
