  • Top fragrance, timeless and delicate, never going out of style. Very refreshing and priced beyond belief. The amber, lemon, and patchouli are noticeable immediately, soft and exquisite; then lavender and cyclamen join in. It has a touch of talc that gives it character. An unbeatable classic that never disappoints.

Very good fragrance, timeless, delicate, and quite persistent. Very refreshing and at an absurd price. Amber, lime, and patchouli are noticeable from the first spray in an exquisite and soft way, followed by lavender and cyclamen. It feels slightly powdery to me. A classic that won’t disappoint you.

  • Capucci’s year and its notes already indicate its spectrum: citrus-herbal, like Acqua di Parma, YSL pour Homme, Eau Sauvage, Armani, or Rochas Man, where citrus blooms and woods and herbs thrive. Its tone is Mediterranean, sunny, bright, fresh, and dry. The vibrant opening recalls the classic YSL, a burst of light that fades to give way to a lovely blend of lavender, florals, soapy touches, and woods. The dry-down smells very similar to Armani. Perhaps it’s simpler and more rustic than the classics, but it shares that timeless classic men’s cologne vibe in its sunniest, friendliest side, with no dark edges. The longevity is short and the sillage is discreet, designed to be worn without regrets. The best part is that it’s cheaper than the previous ones and doesn’t smell worse: it stays natural and pleasant on the skin. It deserves a spot in any enthusiast’s collection. (From Jerry Drake’s treasure chest.)

  • Thanks to Jerry Drake, I was able to try it. It starts with a mentholated lime scent that gradually softens as it blends with lavender and very subtle notes of leather, tobacco, and incense. Highly recommended for informal spring and summer days. If you want to smell clean, it’s an excellent option at a ridiculous price.

  • I looked for something similar to Acqua di Parma but for me it doesn’t resemble it at all maybe only in the drydown. I’d say it sits between Dior Eau Sauvage and Cerruti 1880. It’s an eighties fragrance floral soapy and powdery very pleasant. Given the price it’s recommended if you’re looking for something eighties and clean.

  • Fragrantica said it smelled like Armani Code Pour Homme and Eau Sauvage my favorites so I bought it blind. It definitely resembles them especially at the start. It’s an elegant citrus with basil very good. I like the drydown less: Armani gently returns to spicy and tobacco notes while this one shifts to woods and leather less elegant more alpha male. I imagine a mature Sean Connery giving himself good chest thumps on his hairy chest driving curly-haired and hairy women crazy. It lacks the vigorous energy to go all out though I wear it on days I don’t have to shave.

  • Fragrantica’s English version said it was similar to Armani Pour Homme and Eau Sauvage, so I bought it without hesitation. It definitely smells the same, especially at the start: an elegant citrus with basil, very good. I like the drydown less; while Armani turns subtly spicy and tobacco-like, this goes to woods and leather, less elegant but more ‘alpha male.’ I picture a mature Sean Connery giving good kisses to his hairy chest, driving crazy hairy and curly women. It lacks a bit of vigorous energy to be 100%, but I’ll use it on days I don’t have to shave.

  • Bvlgari Man in Wood, 1967, so don’t expect that trendy ‘blue’ scent. You need personality and maturity to wear it and enjoy it 100%. Citrus takes the lead with oakmoss, lavender, tobacco, and leather in the base. It’s clean and ideal for mornings to tackle the day. I wouldn’t wear it too casually or with a suit, but rather when dressing up a bit. Lasts about 9 hours with great projection at the start. It’s an all-rounder, maybe dispensable in winter, but shines in spring and autumn; either way, enjoy it year-round. It’s a daytime, morning scent. In short, a classic with good longevity and price, perfect for whenever you want. For more info, check out my Instagram JL_Perfumado or my channel Perfúmate Con JL.

  • It’s a 1967 chypre, so don’t expect a modern ‘blue scent.’ It’s a cologne that needs personality and maturity to wear well. The citrus notes take the lead, joined by oakmoss, lavender, tobacco, and leather. It’s clean and pleasant for the morning, ideal for tackling the day ahead. I don’t see it for very casual wear or suits, but rather for dressing up a bit. Longevity is very good, around 9 hours, with strong presence for the first 3. It’s all-terrain, maybe dispensable in winter, but stands out in spring and autumn; enjoyable year-round. It’s for daytime, for the morning. A good classic with solid performance and price. Jerry Drake gifted this to me, and he has an endless treasure trove of perfumes and is a valuable reference for me. Don’t let the production year fool you; this is a totally modern citrus-woody aromatic. The opening reminds me of Cool Water and evolves similarly to O de Lancôme. It features anise-lime, soft patchouli, moss, and lavender, all well-blended with that prominent citrus heart. Very much in the line of Eau Savage, especially at the start. I can picture a man on his Tuscany estate, among vineyards and trees, enjoying a rest in the sun. Sillage and longevity are moderate, as expected for something fresh, and the price is very low for the great quality. Au revoir!

I got this via Jerry Drake, who has a treasure trove of perfumes and is always my reference. Don’t get hung up on the year because it smells super current. The opening reminds me of Cool Water and evolves similarly to O de Lancôme. You get anise-lime, soft patchouli, moss, and lavender, all well-blended with that strong citrus heart. Very similar to Eau Savage, especially at the start. I picture a man on his Tuscany estate, among vineyards and trees, relaxing in the sun at an old manor. Sillage and fixation are moderate, typical of fresh citrus, and at a ridiculous price for the quality. Au revoir!

  • I think Boucheron Pour Homme (EDT) copied this 1967 fragrance because they are very similar. Capucci feels fresher; Boucheron feels more luxurious but with a dustier, more decadent touch. It’s super versatile, informal, and perfect for warm springs and summers. The bottle is pretty and original, the spray works well, and the plastic cap fits perfectly. The box is simple and fragile. All in all, a great fragrance with good performance and price.

  • A fantastic fragrance from 1967. Boucheron clearly imitates it, though that one smells more luxurious, decadent, and dusty. Capucci is fresher and I prefer it, even though both are citrus-based. It’s versatile and informal (less serious than Boucheron) and performs better in warm weather or during spring and summer. Nice bottle, good spray, cap fits well, though the box is simple. Unbeatable quality-to-price ratio.

  • Smells like a classic barbershop—a classic chypre where moss leads the way alongside lavender, with hints of leather and tobacco in the background. The citrus opening is delightful. The quintessential barbershop perfume 💈, I absolutely love it. Greetings.
