Descripción

Guerlain's Aqua Allegoria Forte Rosa Palissandro is a musky floral woody fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2023, this composition was created by nose Delphine Jelk. The top notes unfold with coriander, lemon, and aldehydes; the heart reveals a harmony of Damask rose, sandalwood, and geranium; while the base notes settle on sandalwood and patchouli.

  • It seemed to me to have a stronger imprint than most things smelled in stores. That said, this residue seems quite mature to me; I don’t see it for myself. Quite woody with rose. It also seems to last a bit above average.

  • If you like roses, this is a very beautiful scent, although it has a caveat: for my taste, it’s a slightly aldehydic rose compared to others, which makes it a bit retro, giving it that cleanliness but also a bit more punch. I can smell the rose in all its splendor and its green stem, meaning the perfume has both nuances, a bit floral, a bit stem. I liked it; I first got a sample that convinced me to buy the large bottle, and I’m pleased. It’s a very feminine scent and annoying to no one. It has quality and subtle elegance.

Rosa Palissandro Forte. It started with a rose top note that felt feminine to me; while I liked it, I didn’t think it would be something I’d wear. The magic happened a few minutes later as we continued the journey through the rose as if it were a trip, stopping this time at its stem and leaves. That unmistakable smell of freshly cut stem, chlorophyll, and leaves… Incredible. But, have I heard this before? I’ve had this green, grassy sensation with another perfume. Yes, gentlemen, I made the association, and it led me to one in my collection: Declaration d’un Soir. Saving for that feminine rose opening, they are very, very similar, so much so that when I finish my bottle of Declaration d’un Soir, I’ll probably buy one of these. If you haven’t had the chance to try the already discontinued (though it will soon be back on sale, confirmed by Mathilde Laurent, its perfumer) Cartier, I recommend you try this Rosa Palissandro and understand why Declaration d’un Soir is so sought after among collectors and members of this community. I loved it, I’ll buy it in the future.

For everyone missing the discontinued Cartier Declaration d’un Soir, here is something very, very similar in a very high percentage. This is a perfume with a very fine, super pleasant, enveloping, and incredibly elegant woody rose aroma. The rose is the absolute star, resting on sandalwood wood throughout the life of the fragrance. Occasionally, bursts of geranium and sandalwood arrive. Geranium is a note that tends to bitter the perfume for my nose, so that’s the flaw I see in the whole. It has a very wide sillage without being overwhelming and excellent longevity. Purely spring-like.

Beautiful. One of those vintage roses that makes me so happy: delicate yet present, fresh and elegant—the opposite of the childish fragrances that have been dominating in recent years. This sandalwood rose is perfect for spring, and I suspect it will also work well in higher temperatures. Although its sillage is moderate and it doesn’t last on skin as long as I’d like, it’s ideal as a daily fragrance, one of those scents that dresses up the wearer. If you are absolute fans of fragrances featuring this flower as the protagonist, I highly encourage you to try it.

What a beauty! Smells like a few milliliters of fresh rose stem oil dropped into sweet, oily sandalwood. On paper, it resembles L’Homme DNA, but on skin, it’s something else entirely. Fortunately, it lasts 7-8 hours, staying very present and smelling extremely good. I’m a man who considers himself very masculine, and this is perfectly usable for men who enjoy exotic fragrances. Without a doubt, it’s a 10 out of 10, and if you have the money, the price makes it an 11—buy two at once. Peace.
