It’s Encre Noire; right out of the box I only smelled alcohol, but once it settled, it started picking up, identical… maybe just a bit lighter. It’s for personal enjoyment because it has low projection and lasts only 3-4 hours. I use it as a fresh cologne and feel happy, though I can’t recommend it because the original lasts longer, projects more, and besides, you barely save a few bucks.
As an Encre Noir user, I bought it out of curiosity since it was on sale for $9. The regular price isn’t far from the original, so I’d definitely go with Lalique. It gets close and captures the DNA, but it lacks the ‘punch’ and quality in dry-down and longevity. Good buy for the price.
Very similar to Lalique’s Encre Noir. Super woody and musky aroma, potent. I already made the mistake of going for Encre Noire A L’Extreme and it was a disaster. Be careful, these are strong perfumes that can bother you or give you a headache. Watch out. I recommend it more for night and formal events.
Now it’s Archer Black (not Archor), identical to Lalique’s Encre Noir but cheaper. It just arrived, so I don’t know how it will hold up, but it smells great. I paid about $15. Worth having both: one for daily wear and one for special occasions. Maison Alhambra keeps surprising me.
I’ve tested it 8 times, and the sillage is minimal; after 4 hours, it only smells like my own arm. But, honestly, it smells good.
