Armani Privé Ambre Soie opens with an aromatic amber sweetened with anise, lighter and candied than Etro’s Ambra. The patchouli and clove are barely noticeable, clinging to the skin as a base. It loses some freshness over time but keeps its subtle sweetness; the anise fades while the base notes gain strength. The patchouli is well-integrated, neither dry nor earthy. Contrary to the list, it’s a very quiet scent that stays close to the skin.
