Ambre Nuit by Dior

Smells incredible, 10/10. You can tell the quality of the ingredients from a mile away; it smells like an expensive, elegant, and sophisticated perfume. It’s a silent luxury: you can smell it, but it doesn’t invade. It’s simple—just amber and flowers, no complex evolutions, it’s exactly what it is. Incredible and feminine. The only downside is the longevity is medium-short, around 4 hours. The projection is strong at first but fades in an hour or two, same with the sillage. I’d buy it without hesitation because it smells amazing, though maybe the 100ml bottle would be better for carrying a refiller to reapply every two or three hours. I’d use it year-round except in summer, only at night or if it’s not too hot.

Very lovely and fascinating fragrance. It’s an amber and rose combination that’s slightly off-kilter, making for a sublime scent. One thing I don’t like much (though others might) is that it doesn’t have a strong sillage; after the first hour, it stays close to the skin. Considering the price, I’d give it a slightly higher note, but I understand its intent: to be warm, soft, and sophisticated without drawing attention, but you’ll definitely be the one who smells the best in the room. 8.2/10.

Today I tested this beauty on blotter paper and can’t stop thinking about it. Spectacular ambered roses. I was charmed. Unfortunately, I couldn’t try it on skin yet, but I’ll soon get a decant to expand my review. It feels super unisex and delicate, nothing invasive.

Ambre Nuit is a soft and luxurious fragrance that manages to be enchanting with very few notes. It’s quite linear, not revealing new notes over time, but it allows you to appreciate the nuances of its two components. At first, a slightly aggressive sweet rose that calms down quickly. The amber adds warmth and woody touches. After a few minutes, the amber gains softness and a carnal touch that makes it very attractive; the rose becomes more powdery and delicate. It’s simple, but that simplicity makes it special and elegant. Longevity is 5 to 7 hours, with fairly weak projection; it’s an intimate perfume.

This perfume has left me surprised. Far from the opulent or invasive scent I expected, it’s a delicate and beautiful floral amber. The opening highlights a fresh, vibrant, sparkling, aromatic rose—zero powdery and subtly sweet—surrounded by amber that becomes warmer and slightly smoky in the drydown without ever losing that freshness. Nothing prickly, totally harmonious from the very first second. Extremely high quality. Elegant and versatile. I’ve heard reviews for men, but I find it 100% unisex. The name is confusing; although it’s very amber-heavy, I find it luminous, more for day than night. It doesn’t project beastly or have a wide sillage, but it lasts 6-8 hours. In summary: a very good creation for lovers of the rose/amber combo or for those starting with orientals, as it’s more delicate than most.

Smells like romantic, elegant, and sweet amber and roses. Ideal for night occasions, special events, or celebrations in open spaces, like a party at a hacienda. The opening is very strong and gradually takes shape. For older or mature people, unisex.

Words can’t describe it… A. Nuit is one of the most luxurious fragrances I’ve ever smelled. Every time I wear it, I can’t help but feel sublime. It’s mainly rose and ambergris, sounds simple… until you try it! It’s so well-made that, although simple, it’s one of the best things I’ve come across. Perfection in a bottle!
