The first half-hour of Amber Teutonic is one of the most original amber experiences: the dense, resinous opening clashes beautifully with spicy, green, and piney notes of character. Then the intensity drops, blending into the amber and leaving a creamy, smoky trail. It’s not a bad perfume; quite the opposite, it remains high quality, though it becomes more familiar yet still distinctive in the dry down. I see it as perfect for cold weather, semi-formal, and elegant outings, with performance matching other brands from the house. It’s one of the most famous fragrances from this house for a good reason. I recommend trying it, especially if you love ambers; I personally prefer the opening. Rating: 7/10.

  • A curious amber that blends classic sweetness with a strong coniferous note. It opens green and potent, with a resinous, sweet amber base that gains strength over time (I believe it’s the same amber found in Ambre Kiso). While the pine and amber combination is original, its uniqueness doesn’t quite convince me.

  • I’m starting my first review of this house. The bottle is spot on—minimalist and elegant. The scent unfolds slowly, like a fuse lighting up gunpowder. Then the woods emerge: cedar, pine, fir, backed by a refined spicy base reminiscent of Ormonde Man but with more character. After half an hour, it balances out, becoming creamier thanks to the green mandarin, which adds a bitter citrus note that blends beautifully with the spice. Overall, a fantastic perfume with personality, more innovative than the typical style in its category. I loved it; I see it as masculine but definitely unisex. Perfect for all seasons except extreme heat, ideal for formal or semi-formal occasions. Scent: 9/10, Sillage: 8.5/10, Projection: 8/10, Longevity: 8.5/10.

  • I tried several fragrances from this house and ended up with Amber Teutonic and Leatherize; I liked almost all of them. Amber Teutonic smells like a forest, but not dark or with that damp earth and root vibe found in other perfumes. Here, it’s sharper, featuring pine with a balsamic touch—kind of like the scent left on your skin the morning after using Vicks Vaporub. It sounds medicinal, but it suits me perfectly. It lasts well, starting strong before settling into a full-day wear. I’ve heard it’s great for blending, so I tried it with Grand Soir by Kurkdjian: the result was warm, enveloping, with a darker vanilla. Definitely worth testing with other ambers. Fragrances like this make me love perfumery.
