Incredible woody perfume; if you love this style (which some might call harsh), Bowmakers is heaven. But beware: this is WOOD, plain and simple. No tricks, nothing to soften it. It smells dry, woody, resinous, pitchy, like varnish. So intensely woody that if you don’t connect with it, you might as well be a walking cabinetmaker. Still, it’s one of my favorites.
With this discovery, I learned about the original wooden tool for making any bow tie: a horizontal board with rotating cylindrical spikes; the more spikes, the more complex the knot. The scent transported me to a woodworking shop where these things are built, perhaps also framing pictures or cutting cardstock. It clearly smells of wood, mahogany, and tree. Starting from that aroma I already love, it evolves and merges with my own skin, creating a unique and even more special version.
This perfume transported me to a woodworking shop where they craft tools for making bow ties. It smells of mahogany and tree, as if I were standing in a framing studio. The scent is unmistakably woody and evolves until it blends with my skin, creating a unique and even more special version.
