About Demon Dancer
Demon Dancer by Ex Nihilo: A Fragrance That Dances to Its Own Beat
Ex Nihilo introduces Demon Dancer, a new unisex Musky Woody Floral fragrance created by perfumer Jordi Fernández. Launching in 2026, it's built around a striking contrast between fresh top notes and a deep, woody-musky base.
Orange, rhubarb, and peppermint open the composition, leading into cassis (blackcurrant) and orange blossom at the heart. The base settles on Akigalawood, Georgywood, tonka bean, and musk, creating a scent that feels both modern and seductive.
The first spray of Demon Dancer is immediately invigorating. Orange delivers bright citrus energy, rhubarb adds a tangy, slightly earthy edge, and peppermint provides a cool, almost fizzy sensation. It's an opening that feels lively and full of motion.
In the heart, cassis brings a fruity sweetness with green undertones, while orange blossom softens the blend with white floral elegance. Together they create an interesting tension between playfulness and sophistication.
The base is where the magic truly happens. Akigalawood and Georgywood form a contemporary woody core with a hint of oud-like depth, while tonka bean adds warmth and a smooth sweetness. Musk wraps everything in a soft, long-lasting embrace.
Perfumer Jordi Fernández has crafted a nuanced composition that evolves beautifully on skin. The accords—green, aromatic, citrus, sweet, white floral, fruity, woody, musky, and fresh spicy—coexist in perfect harmony. Each stage reveals a new dimension, keeping the experience engaging from start to finish.
With an average rating of 4.2 out of 5 from 127 enthusiasts, Demon Dancer has quickly gained attention. It's a perfume for those who don't want to blend in—a scent that adds personality to any outfit or occasion.
Sillage is noticeable but never overpowering, and longevity is solid, easily lasting through a full day. Demon Dancer proves itself to be a versatile choice for both daytime adventures and evening events.
Demon Dancer is for women and men who enjoy woody, musky fragrances with a fresh, fruity twist. Ideal for those who appreciate niche perfumery and want a scent that feels both contemporary and distinctive.
Ex Nihilo delivers a standout creation with Demon Dancer. Its interplay of brightness, sweetness, and woody depth is both memorable and confidently executed. For anyone seeking a new signature scent in 2026, this is definitely worth exploring.

I wore this ultra-hyped Demon Dancer at Harrods and no, it’s not for me. It’s similar to Blue Talisman (which I don’t like either) but much sharper; it has these really pointed and piercing citrus notes the whole time (for hours and hours). I’m starting to take a dislike to that rhubarb—it smells like celery to me. It smells like nuclear, radioactive green. A lot of people would like it. But I don’t think it’s one of the best things ever invented either. I see it more as a twist on Blue Talisman than as a different, new, and original creation.
