Porthole by Loumari has carved out a spot in the niche world with that tropical, citrusy, and modern vibe. I love it because it fits the trend of cheerful, easy-to-wear scents but has a twist that saves it from being generic. It smells like a sparkling citrus cocktail at first—full of energy and freshness. Then the tropical notes come through with a spiced, exotic base that adds depth. It balances the brightness with an elegant dry-down without falling into simplicity. On my skin, it lasts about 7 to 8 hours, with good projection for the first two hours; after that, it stays closer to the skin but remains noticeable. I see it as ideal for casual wear, outdoor gatherings, or beach vacations. It radiates freshness and joy. I’m giving it 8.5/10. Although I personally prefer Narcotica’s Limonata, this is definitely a great fragrance.

Porthole is a scent that changes depending on the distance: from afar, it smells rich with mango and fruits, backed by a clean, soapy floral note, like a really good shower gel. As you get closer, that cleanliness gives way to an unexpected salty note that adds character. When it dries down, a soft caramel touch sweetens things without being cloying. They market it as masculine, but I see it as unisex, even with a feminine nuance due to its sweetness and fruity-soapy finish. It reminds me of LV’s Pacific Chill, though the LV one feels more westernized, refined, and gentle. Both share that fruity-green profile, almost like kiwi, with a base that evokes summer showers with fruit gels. In short, it’s a very good perfume, but for the price, I think you’d be better off going for Pacific Chill or, even better, Tales from Zanzibar, which (with apologies) absolutely crushes it. In my opinion, PH has some very typical Arabic perfume highlights, especially in the musks that play between clean and dirty. It’s a subtle nuance you have to focus on to perceive, and it doesn’t hit everyone’s nose, making me feel like I’m wearing a Lattafa clone instead of a luxury perfume. Plus, it feels too feminine for me. Although objectively it’s a very good aroma, personally, I don’t see myself wearing it. For me: No. Should I recommend trying it? Absolutely yes.
