Amor by Paula Cahen D'Anvers

If you like jasmine, Amor is something I recommend you try. Pure jasmine, with an exquisite touch of freesia in the final dry-down. Excellent longevity; you can feel it as the hours go by, and in its dry-down I find it more and more delicate. It’s an enveloping floral due to its amber orientation. I had it a couple of years ago and I remember days with that fragrance on my skin as if I were carrying a little bunch of jasmine, the kind that perfumes the walls of houses on spring afternoons.💮

Paula Amor, the brand’s second launch. I remember I discovered it through a sample they gave me at the perfume store. I kept it and treasured it because I was a university student at the time and still couldn’t buy as many perfumes as I would have liked to try. It’s a very floral fragrance where jasmine stands out, a jasmine that’s somewhat sweet but fresh in its finish. With green touches at times that make that scent a friendly experience. I clarify this because sometimes jasmine can be sharp, but for me this is not the case. I like it for the office, a casual outing, or at night too. You don’t look bad, and since it’s not a mass-market perfume nowadays, people will be left wondering what perfume it is; plus, it’s kind of a distant relative of Gucci Bloom according to my nose. I love Paula Cahen D’anvers’ perfumes, because so far they have been true to her style: no duuuullce dessert-like perfume trying to fall into what’s trendy, except the last one, “Aura,” which I haven’t tried yet but I found out it resembles Scandal JPG😣. And it may be that after the brand was sold, the line and quality change 🤷🏻♀️

It’s young and sparkling, doesn’t last as long as I’d like but it’s really pretty and I praise it a lot.

It’s a very feminine, clean fragrance, with a sillage from soft to moderate, supremely pleasant to the nose. I’ve been complimented on it several times and I would buy it again without a doubt.
