Strange yet sweet opening with an unusual cardamom that settles down quickly into a gourmand, creamy, and buttery scent. The tobacco isn’t strong or grotesque, and it doesn’t smell like cigarettes. The only thing is I don’t get the drydown; it sits somewhere between powdery and creamy, with a warm fragrance DNA but no marked vanilla. My reference will always be Armani Code, haha, and I’m not going for that DNA. Overall, it’s a niche scent without the drama, even leaning into general appeal with some gourmand and commercial vibes. It doesn’t disappoint, just didn’t expect something more challenging or original. I would still try other things from this house.
