Here’s my take without being an expert on scent notes. I discovered Botanicae thanks to a friend who’s obsessed and sent me a sample set; among them, a 2ml of Highlands left me speechless, so I ordered the discovery set to confirm. Now, holding the 100ml bottle, the experience is insane. Fast and detailed shipping, simple bottle but the juice is a beast. I debuted it at the office: 8 sprays and an incredible fresh, green opening that’s addictive. By 6:30 AM I already had a strong trail; from 7 to 3 at work, I couldn’t stop smelling juniper, neroli, and flowers until 9. People kept asking if it was feminine or what it was, everyone was loving it, even though I was constantly smelling my own wrist. At 5:45 PM it’s still going strong without needing a reapplication. Should I recommend it? Yes, definitely. Give it a try if you have any biases about its gender, it’s amazing. It’s staying in my collection for a repeat purchase.
Here’s my impression. I’m not an expert in notes, just sharing my feelings. I discovered Botanicae through a sample set from a friend who’s obsessed, including Highlands. Those 2ml samples smelled like heaven, so I ordered the discovery set. Today, after receiving the 100ml bottle, I confirm it’s insane. Fast and careful shipping, simple bottle, but the content is incredible. I debuted it at the office with 8 sprays. The fresh, green opening is mind-blowing and addictive, with a very strong trail lasting about half an hour until 6:30. At the office from 7 to 3, it never stopped: juniper, neroli, and flowers until 9. People commented on whether it was feminine or asked to try it, and everyone loved it, but I couldn’t stop smelling my wrist. By 5:45, without reapplying, it was still clinging to me. Should I recommend it? Yes, definitely. Give it a try if you have biases about unisex scents—it’s fantastic. It’s staying in my collection to repurchase.
A perfect clone of Acqua di Parma Essenza! They are identical in every way. An amazing scent as a signature fragrance.
Similar opening to the wonderful Black Gold by Mancera, but a bit more herbal and less sharp. Intense, elegant, and modern. Very long-lasting and addictive. Congratulations to the house of Botanicae.
Similar to the wonderful Black Gold by Mancera, but slightly more herbal and less sharp. Very herbal, intense, elegant, and modern. Long-lasting and classy. Addictive. Great job by Botanicae.
I agree with @Gusverde: it reminds me of Black Gold by Mancera. I don’t see any clone of Aqua di Parma Essenza, maybe a touch of oakmoss as it dries, but otherwise nothing similar. It’s herbal, elegant, modern, and very long-lasting. I wear it with 4 sprays at 7 AM and it’s still noticeable by 10 PM. I’m testing it in winter now, but I’m sure it won’t disappoint in the heat. My signature scent for spring/fall. Huge congratulations to Botanicae.
Agree with @Gusverde: reminds me of Mancera’s Black Gold, not really an Aqua di Parma Essenza clone. Maybe a touch of oakmoss when dry, but only if you stretch it. It’s herbal, elegant, modern, and incredibly long-lasting. After a few days with 4 sprays at 7 AM and 10 PM, it’s still going. We’ll see how it holds up in heat; tested in winter, but it won’t disappoint. My new signature scent for spring/fall. Huge congratulations to Botanicae.
Botanicae has two wonderful green masculine scents: En Route, with Silver Mountain Water vibes from Creed, and Highlands, which is more subtle and versatile. It’s quite refreshing and energizing. An excellent choice for an elegant, professional signature scent.

Highlands is an aromatic floral EDP with woody undertones, where neroli takes center stage surrounded by green and woody notes. It’s not a flanker of Patio, not even remotely. If you remember the Scottish Highlands with their damp pastures and wet earth, this isn’t that perfume. If you’re looking for a mountain vibe, try En Route or Tramonte instead. It’s unisex, well-rounded, and looks amazing on feminine skin. Lasts 7-8 hours with 3-4 sprays, projects well in the first hour. Versatile for spring and fall, suitable for any setting except the gym or a party. I recommend it for its versatility and quality, but always test it on skin before buying niche.
I can’t stop responding to anyone who calls Highlands a flanker of Patio: they don’t even resemble each other. Here, the neroli has nothing to do with the one in Patio. It’s pure hay, a wild and cold scent—absolutely wonderful, but nothing like Patio, for God’s sake.
I can’t stop responding to the person who compared Highlands to a flanker of Patio: it’s absurd, they have nothing in common. The neroli here is on another level, dominated by a wild, cold hay note—marvelous, but nothing like Patio, for heaven’s sake. What do you think?
Very green neroli, grey tea, and juniper really stand out. It feels rare and different, which I find attractive. It smells like a deep, clean shower gel with a hazelnut suede vibe—truly original.
It’s balsamic and clean, with juniper and tea giving an eucalyptus sensation, plus neroli and musk. Ideal for work, it lasts all day. I’d wear it year-round except in summer when I prefer something fresher. Excellent quality for the price.
When I spray it, it smells like sweet grass, a blend of juniper, neroli, and a dry hay base. The downside is that my skin eats it up in four hours, just like with Mugler Cologne. It’s a shame because I absolutely love it; it’s unisex and perfect for spring and summer.
