I bought it out of love for Shalimar and because I couldn’t find anything that blended citrus, sweet, and floral notes. The salesperson assured me I’d love it. At first, the opening was honestly unpleasant—a bitterness I assume came from the bergamot at its peak. But then it shifted into a wild rose nuance, like a garden with green leaves and dew. The dry down is apothegmatic, pure love. It smells like D&G’s Rose The One, that perfume I adore that’s no longer available. It’s delicious, a rose very lightly vanilla-scented. If you’re missing D&G’s Rose The One, this is an excellent alternative.
