You know that satisfaction of wearing a perfume and getting a compliment, or when people naturally lean in closer while talking? Hunter still holds its charm and feels incredibly pleasant even today. At first, it doesn’t seem striking, but it gradually envelops you until you can’t stop smelling it. It has a very distinct masculine presence, inspiring and captivating with a pleasant, seductive trail. It doesn’t just smell good; it creates a comfortable atmosphere around you, speaking for itself without words by projecting cleanliness and elegance. It’s not an overwhelming powerhouse like the ones from its era, but rather something present without being excessive—perfect for enjoying today with its barbershop vibe, yet nothing outdated. The top notes are citrus with a hint of basil that adds a fresh green and spicy touch, before settling into geranium and lavender. It reminds me of Rive Gauche pour Homme, which is curious considering YSL was born when Hunter was just a teenager. In the base, the moss adds masculinity, the sandalwood a creamy aura, and the vetiver an earthy note as the perfume blends into the skin. It’s for a man true to himself, one who doesn’t need to please others. If you’re looking for charisma and haven’t found it yet, try Hunter if you can get it at a good price.
